Been as good a week-end as possible for Rovers.

City dropped two places.

We have gone in three games from 5 points off safety under the abominable Ince to 5 points off 11th whilst most of the opponents have played a game more.

Never good to come up against a team on a good run as Spuds found out at Wigan this afternoon. Hopefully Fulham will have gone of the boil a bit when they get round to taking the Craven Cottage pitch out of the deep freezer.

Wigan are going great guns and can dream of Europe.

Terrible bad luck that we could not play yesterday. With virtually every result in yesterdays matches working in Rovers favour and today Spurs losing as well, we could have been out of the relegation zone right now with a win at Fulham which was not beyond the bounds of reasonable expectation.

Just watched the Wigan v Spuds match on Sky, and the so obvious bias of the commentary team in favour of Spurs was almost making me vomit. Then at the end after Wigan had snatched the points in stoppage time we were forced to listen to another long tirade about how cruel the game can be with a deserved point being wisked away from Spuds in the added time; no justice etc, etc........(retch, retch). I dont remember anyone on Sky saying anything remotely similar when Rovers were "robbed" of a deserved 3 points against Citeh last week. Then it was all about how magnificent Citeh were in battling on against the odds and never giving up until the final whistle; which I can agree with to a certain extent. My point is though that in their game Rovers were definitely far better than City for all but the last couple of minutes and then the stoppage time, but not a word was said about that from the Sky team, and today it was all about how cruel the game is when Spuds lose in extra time.

Blatant unashamed bias against the town clubs every time they play one of the city clubs. Disgusting!!!!!

Wigan's run shows us what we can do next season with a couple of canny summer signings.

Zaki, Palacios and Figoroa (sp?) - you gotta hand it to Brucey (or his Lucky Potato Nose) - they are outstanding signings. Although, not having first option on Zaki is a bit of a bummer.

We could've had Valencia had Mark Hughes obeyed the edict from Unleaded, as posted on here. Shame.

And once again Howard Webb and Wayne Rooney just prove Mr rooneys untouchable status.

he has a swing at A Cole then mouths off to the ref, nothing but a free kick.

Minute later Boswinga is late on Rooney and a booking straight away.

It's a shambles.

Well I for one am glad to see a small town club like Wigan doing well in the Prem. long may it continue and hopefully with Big Sam's help we will be up there with them in the mid to upper reaches before long and helping them in the cause of stuffing it up the "big boys". Rowlocks to ALL of them I say!!

Apart from Stoke getting a point, this weekend has been pretty much perfect bar our game.

Even then, it might have been a blessing in disguise. We had players injured, Fulham have the best home form in the league and are in form. Wouldn't have been the easiest time to play them.

Beat Newcastle and hope Stoke, Boro and Spurs lose and we are 1 or 2 places above the zone.

As much as it annoys me to say so, I cannot Spurs being involved in a relegation battle come end of the season.

Defoe is a good signing and will score goals, Appiah will sign for them next week apparently. Plus, they will add a couple more players. Harry is usually ok in the transfer market, so any further additions to their squad will only make them stronger.

Would love to be wrong though!

I don't see Spurs down there at the end of the season but many don't see us down there either, fact is IF we win our game in hand we are above Spurs and you can only take it on a game by game basis.

This is one screwed up season to say the least. It is going to be musical chairs to the end of the season and the three without places after 38 games go down without respect to status or reputation.

Harry Redknapp's analysis of Spurs- £60m spent assembling a team which was totally unsuited to the Premier League suggests 'Arry has a heck of wheeling and dealing to do in the next 22 days to recue Spurs.

Appiah may or mat not survive in the Prem with the massive increase in physical pressure on his injury-wracked body. Defoe can be played out of games and most Prem defences are good enough to handle him.

I do not think they will go down but I can see them being in a relegation battle right into May.

Today they were facing a completely mis-firing Wigan attack who were hopeless in the last third if we are honest. Even so Bale and King looked totally unsuited to being on that pitch and their midfield was powder puff.

That is SKY for you. I heard commentry on the radio in the car and they were all in agreement that Wigan deserved to win the game.

Unless you're Liverpool or Man U, just about all national sports media is biased towards the home town (London) clubs!

2 - 0 United now, Chelsea really do look poor today, I think this is United's title mainly due to lack of decent competition, Liverpool will falter and chelsea and Arsenal son't seem to have it in them.

The referee loses his match fee if he books too many Man Ure players when they are at Old Trafford.

Do you lot know nothing about football???

Now then DD you know that's not true!!

The truth is: He loses his match fee and gets suspended from the Prem list if he books ANY Utd player at all! ;)

I would say this has actually been a pretty good weekend even though the Rovers game was called off. If we can win our game in hand we will be up to 17th. That would be above Spurs, close to Man City (depending on results vs Pompey) and just 6 points behind Hull in 8th who are beginning to struggle. Geovanni carried that team but now he has disappeared. They may already have enough points to suggest they will survive but I can see them dropping a fair few places down the league yet. With the right signings, Sam can get us up several places higher yet so lets just hope we put a run together and rack up the points in the next few games where we have a good chance.

United were there for the taking today aswell, there midfield was completely over-run in the first 20 minutes but Chelsea just lacked a cutting edge yet again. Drogba was a good 2 yards of the play all day and should never have started. Taking Deco off, arguably there only play with an ounce of flair today, was a disastrous move and they never even threatened in the second half.

I have strong doubts that Scolari will do anything with Chelsea based on his recent decisions and performances, I´m not sure what his English is like but I will never understand how a team can appoint a manager who isnt completely fluent.

Liverpool will continue to drop points against the lesser teams both home and away and Rafa has somehow managed to wind himself already, just how Ferguson does that is quite surreal.

Its Uniteds title again, and they didnt even have to break sweat.
