Unfortunately not true. Unlike Chelsea, Manure and Liverpoo the Sh eikh has bought in cash and paid in cash for everything, so as far as I can see, City have NO debt. Therefore if he pulled out, City would be left with an operating model which wouldn't work, but which could be solved by selling the players quickly.

Jan, respectfully, I suggest you've had a slip in logic. If the players are on such huge wages that it would seem no other club could match, how would you get any of the City players to forego those contracted wages as required for a transfer/sale to proceed, let alone with the urgency you suggest ("selling the players quickly"). At best, City would have to pay the difference in wages from what they are paying, to what the buying club is willing to pay for any single player, which I suggest would still leave them in the situation you stated, but without the "but":

City would be left with an operating model which wouldn't work

I actually think its got bonkers all of this now. I understand people wanting the best at no matter what (KAKA) but spuds and Wilson Palacios for 14 million quid!! a player they signed this time last year for 1million. on the BBC website forum spuds fans are almost calling him the new GOD. "if diarras worth 21mill then this is good business" "if you've got it why not spend it on the best"... blah blah blah. I'd like to think that i'm pretty knowledgable with players in the premier league but really in my opinion has done nothing to warrent a £14million price tag.Wigan must be loving spurs' stupidity and when next season they realise he just looked good in an average team and is playing 2 games a month, the fans wont be calling him god anymore. oh also forgot the "he'll take us into the top 4!!" hahahahaha.

Who owns the player? If the club is owned by Sheik as a proprieter then the player is his in theory. City is a Company though so if Sheik is the only? shareholder. In theory he's the clubs but the sole shareholder can make the decision to sell him for a good horse for instance if he feels like it. He can give or take as much out of the company as he wants. Even if there are other shareholders their share will by now be pitiful and he will be able to outvote them.

If I was a city fan, I think I'd be rather worried by all this without the Sheik their screwed. Not even united could sustain the 700 odd grand a week being spent on Robinho and Kaka (if it happens). I wonder if its cash up front on transfers or instalments?

What happens if he stops putting in? Is he personally accountable for the debts or is it City themselves?

If reports are true Kaka clearly doesn't want to leave Milan but the Milan board want the cash and who can blame them. If the Milan board decided they wanted to keep him and begged him to stay he would.

1. Kaka not wanting to leave is just another negotiating chip.

2. I'd wager the Milan board would carry him here on their backs for 120m.

Gutted to see United grab yet another flukey last minute effort. Yet again the failings of United's apparent opposition has allowed them to quietly ghost up the inside despite defeats against two of the very teams they've been competing with. Pretty pathetic.
