Backroom Tom Posted January 27, 2009 Backroom Posted January 27, 2009 Was just about to ask what people thought the ideal result at the SOL is? Sunderland are closer to us at present but fulham are in no way clear of danger yet.

Sunderland are closer to us at present but fulham are in no way clear of danger yet. Fulham cannot win away, if they start to falter at home regularly then perhaps they are also in the frame
budha Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Was just about to ask what people thought the ideal result at the SOL is? Sunderland are closer to us at present but fulham are in no way clear of danger yet. Draw? 2 pts total instead of 3 when rivals play each other
BuckyRover Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Pennant looks quite handy. Shame he is an idiot.
Presty On Tour Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Ex Rover Beattie pulls one back for Stoke. Oh and come on Leicester for gods sake!!!!
Backroom Tom Posted January 27, 2009 Backroom Posted January 27, 2009 Belhadj finally off, 2nd yellow for dissent, odd odd decision to be fair but he deserves to be also have tp laugh at the Villa fans singing to Heskey: 'Theres only one Emile Heskey, one emile Heskey, he used to be sh*te but now he's alright, walking in a heskey wonderland!'
Presty On Tour Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 WBA heads are down, could be a cricket score. Leicester City can rot in hell!
Amo Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Pennant looks quite handy. Shame he is an idiot. Early days though. His problem has always been consistency.
Grabbi Graeme Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Ex Rover Beattie pulls one back for Stoke. Oh and come on Leicester for gods sake!!!! How much have they cost you Presty Utd now made it 5-0 against WBA and apparently Styles waving cards all over the place. Burnley stuffed 3-0 by Watford, play offs, your havin a laugh
BuckyRover Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Early days though. His problem has always been consistency. Very true. His character does not make him a good team player. Not ideal in a relegation dogfight.

Burnley stuffed 3-0 by Watford, play offs, your havin a laugh Had odds of 15/1 on all 5 teams winning and had a tenner ridding on it. Never mind at least the results went in favor of us tonight and your right about Styles, it's like he's after more camera time.
philipl Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Steve Bruce not my favourite manager and I don't believe the allegation but it is good to see another PL person speak out about the disgusting behaviour of Man City
BuckyRover Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I have started to warm to Mr Bruce since he went to Wigan. He has gone up a lot in my estimation since his 'Big Club' days.
DeadlyDirk Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Steve Bruce not my favourite manager and I don't believe the allegation but it is good to see another PL person speak out about the disgusting behaviour of Man City Anyone who slags off City gets my vote these days, agree with most of what he said anyway. Some decent results for us today, West Brom and Stoke both losing mean they stay below us which is always nice. Always a shame to see Spuds win and its not ideal that Sunderland won but I guess they can't all be draws! Not to bad though as it brings Fulham back into it now, especially if their home form suffers. You can only expect Boro to lose at Chelsea tonight which is good as again it'll mean they stay below us. No idea what will happen with the City and Newcastle game, I'd expect there to be goals!! Probably have to fancy City to beat Newcastle at home which although it pains me to see City win wouldn't be so bad, unless they strengthen I could see Newcastle really struggling in the second half of the season. Hopefully a draw between West Ham and Hull to keep them both in trouble, although West Ham have shown signs of edging clear Bellamy is a big loss to them. Most importantly we want a Rovers win!
philipl Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Berlusconi web site disclosure might land City in hot water. I must admit wondering who on earth was getting the reported £18m-£20m agency fees which invariably got mentioned in the Kaka deal that never was. The Italian PM has revealed the agent was Kia Joorabchian. No great surprise there. Except he is a non-registered agent and there is a 10 points deduction now stipulated for clubs using non-registered agents.... Apart from exhibiting incompetence in negotiations and rank unprofessionalism in his comments after his Kaka flop, I wonder if Cook has made himself so unpopular with enough clubs- Rovers, Wigan, Newcastle and Spurs for starters have no reason to love him- that this will get followed through on. Berlusconi no doubt knew what he was doing and why when he put that information out on his website.
dave birch Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 FA docking City 10 points? I've more chance of winning the lottery this week, and next.
Eddie Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 A manager who has found his feet and really seems to know what he's doing now.

Th irony being that Marketing Man Gary 'all gob and briefcase' Cook actually accused AC of being 'unprofessional'!!!! What a plonker.
67splitscreen Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 For those wondering where Appiha has been hiding. 1 month with spuds and still not fit. Appiha resurfaces
Billy Castell Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 The day Citeh get the 10 points knocked off will be the day I open the batting in the test against The West Indies. If anything happens, it'll be a £20,000 fine and more limp wristed nonsense from the Premier League 'club'. As for Kia Joorbachian, what about Man Utd? I assume Kia still has some involvement in Carlos Tevez.
incecticide Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I assume Kia still has some involvement in Carlos Tevez. As I understand it (which I don't) as long as he's not acting as his agent he's fine. He might still have some ownership or rights to Tevez, which isn't the same as being his agent, but still isn't right according to third party ownership rules. Anybody know the details of Tevez's United deal? Presumably as he's on loan it's OK that MSI still own him?!
DeadlyDirk Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Well I'm trying not to think about our game at the moment.... Other happenings. 1. Is Given injured or suspended or just City bound. Not even on the bench against them today. 2. Bellamy, Robinho and De Jong all start for City 3. Owen off after 19 minutes, another injury I can only assume?
DeadlyDirk Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Well at least Chelsea have scored against Boro and Hull are 2-0 down now, luckily other results are going for us at the moment.
