Hughesy Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Very good, gifted right foot, but has just come back from 12 months out. Has had 1 or 2 serious injuries which is a worry.
Eddie Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Very talented, but struggles with fitness. I'd love to see Rovers take a chance on him. If your lot buys him and he stays fit then you have got one heck of a player.
philipl Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Boot goes on the other foot- Liverpool report Spurs for tapping up Keane after Spurs had extracted a payment on the initial transfer to stop tapping up allegations the other way!
thenodrog Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Boot goes on the other foot- Liverpool report Spurs for tapping up Keane after Spurs had extracted a payment on the initial transfer to stop tapping up allegations the other way! What a hoot! Both clubs will have done more tapping in the past than a blind man's stick! The Lpool approach to Barry this summer was sickening. I assume Parry is just jostling for position at Lpool and trying desperately to justify his position and salary. I'm sure that John Williams, MoN, Pompey etc etc etc would all have much to offer this debate.
leftfooter Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Charles N'Zogbia: I'll never play for Joe Kinnear again http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle5614880.ece "...Newcastle United’s season descended deeper into farce last night when Charles N’Zogbia refused to play for the club after Joe Kinnear, the manager, appeared to forget his surname during a television interview and twice called him “Insomnia” before settling for “Charlie”..." What's the fuss? Wasn't it JFK that complained about the European Court's decision challenging the legality of the transfer system as the 'Bosnian' ruling?

Lol I remember seeing an interview with Lomana Lua Lua I think it was, or possibly Shola Ameobi when Bobby Robson was in charge at Newcastle, they asked him what the gaffer calls him on the training ground and he said, 'Carl Cort'. Must be a newcastle thing!
philipl Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Mail's assessment of PL boss changes effectiveness And for those who wonder why we didn't move for Podolski- beat rejected E20m bids from both Spurs and City!
Billy Castell Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 The N'Zogbia thing is just an excuse for Charlie to spit his dummy out and demand a move. Bery immature, and I'm not sure I'd like him at the club if he is such a brat.
Billy Castell Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 There was some headline that was briefly up on the BBC sport headline. It involved Newcastle and Wigan's Taylor. Didn't really take it in and it disappeared. Here it is on Sky Sports Brazilian flop to join FC Baywatch?
the swede Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Jermain Defoe broke his foot in training --> Fourfourtwo
ffan Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 *Rumour* Apparently Utd have agreed a fee with Wigan for Valencia who will move to them in the summer.
Blue n White Rover Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Dos Santos to Pompey for £7million according to Sky Sources. Still in talks. The kid has done nothing to prove he is worth £7million! The world's gone mad!
DanLad Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Re Crouch rumours... ...normally people say that he's surprisingly good on the ground for a big bloke... ...can I just say... ...pretty poor in the air for a big bloke...
Kelbo Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Dos Santos to Pompey for £7million according to Sky Sources. Still in talks. The kid has done nothing to prove he is worth £7million! The world's gone mad! If he is going to Pompy for that amount, Crouch is going, Pompy are skint!!!
Hughesy Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Insomnia, sorry I mean N'zogbia to Wigan Just confirmed on SSN that he has joined Wigan with Taylor going the other way as part of the deal

philipl Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Independent tries to guess the coming week-end and reviews the transfers to date. I see real Madrid are negotiating to take Faubert on loan from West Ham. That helps reduce the wage bill there somewhat.
jim mk2 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Stoke beating City ....... not a good start to the day.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Back into the drop zone as it stands.
DeadlyDirk Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 How frustrating, City are losing and I'm unhappy about it!! Didn't think I'd be saying that after recent weeks! Umm, come on City!!! I did say at the time Beattie although not the best wouldn't be a bad option at the price, 2 goals in 2 games for Stoke I think and his goal last week was well taken, no idea what it was like today. On another note, for any gamblers out there, how bloody hard is it to pick the winners today?? If your doing an accumulator then Pompey are 3/1 to beat Fulham. I know Fulham have a great record at home and Pompey are rubbish at the moment but they could easily snatch a win and could give you a nice little earner! I've done a mix of accumulators covering both options haha!
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Stoke win. Bugger. Back in we drop.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 A truly horrid result for us......just how the hell did we let slip a two goal lead against that sky blue shyte?
