cn174 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 N'Zogbia has the skill and pace to be as good a left winger as there is in the Premier League. Wigan fans should be excited. (Although, one good season and he will be off faster than roadrunner). We listened to to Bruce on the radio up to Sunderland. They were asking that how did they manage to attract N'Zogbia etc when they aren't in the same league as Man U, Arsenal etc. He said that they tell the players the truth as to what Wigan can do for them. If they go to Wigan and they perform well, then it will provide a platform for them to move onto a bigger club. And in the meantime they will have performed well for Wigan, and they'll probably make good profit on him so it is a win win situation.

American Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Saw that, too. Impressed that he's being logical about it. Gordon's dreaming of the day a Rovers manager says this.
thenodrog Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Saw that, too. Impressed that he's being logical about it. Gordon's dreaming of the day a Rovers manager says this. Correct. We need money and we cannot generate enough income any other way imo. The model certainly worked for us under Hughes.
American Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 The difference between us and Wigan now is that Bruce is being allowed money to invest in up and coming players, with the thought that the money will be re-couped and more.
philipl Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 The difference between us and Wigan now is that Bruce is being allowed money to invest in up and coming players, with the thought that the money will be re-couped and more. Wigan also made a net income on its transfers in this window and Rovers were net spenders. So don't let the facts get in the way etc....
American Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 And why did they make this income? Because in past windows they spent money, unlike us. You just backed up my point, thanks.
BuckyRover Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 SWP has been charged with violent conduct by the FA for his kick at Rory Delap.
gazsimm Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 SWP has been charged with violent conduct by the FA for his kick at Rory Delap. The fa are a joke, they should be charging Boswinga then as well. The big four get away with murder
blue/white Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I find it appalling that nothing was done to Boswinga at the time of the foul.... in plain view of the lino!~!!!!
92er Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I find it appalling that nothing was done to Boswinga at the time of the foul.... in plain view of the lino!~!!!! In the Daily Telegraph today it was stated that as the assistant ref had clocked what had happened, and had done nothing about it, the FA can take no action.
LeChuck Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Not English Premier League but this is the best place I can be bothered to find... Why are Rangers playing AC Milan in a friendly in February?
Majiball Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Not English Premier League but this is the best place I can be bothered to find... Why are Rangers playing AC Milan in a friendly in February? Rangers need cash. No idea, testimonial???? Milan cashing in on Beckham somehow?
LeChuck Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I could understand taking Beckham to Asia or wherever, but are the Scots really going to pay money to see an Ex-England captain? He's getting booed by the sound of it. No doubt the ground is full or thereabouts, but Rangers would probably do that anyway if a BRFCS XI turned up. I imagine Rangers are doing it for the money, can't for the life of me see what Milan are getting out of it, unless it's a testimonial as you suggested.
DeadlyDirk Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Dan Gosling has just scored a fantastic goal for Everton, class.
American Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Shame ITV went to commercial suddenly at the time....
bubblerrovers Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Was it just me or did itv cut to ads then cut back after the goal
Amo Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Liverpool dumped out by Everton. ITV are fecking useless. Still can't believe those jokers got their hands on the FA Cup...

There wouldn't be any Scotland supprters there.
Presty On Tour Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 ITV or so slack! The technical dude probably fell asleep and knocked over his coffee on some switches. Really boring game and the only goal action there was, they played a Wicks advert i think it was. I can see some complaints going 2 ITV HQ in bag fulls.
philipl Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I saw the gosal live on cable here but I find that so funny. Over two hours of the most turgid unwatchable football this season and then ITV are at the adverts as 119th minute goal goes in. That is some boob by ITV!
Fylde Coast Fan Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Winter Hill Freeview ran the E.On bumper but cut back in time for the goal.
Flopsy Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Harry Redknapp thought map during a press conference
philipl Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 That is lovely Flopsy! Tales of woe at the bar-codes. Shay Given saying things are more stable at Man City, comparatively, is a cracker!
