thenodrog Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 That is lovely Flopsy! Tales of woe at the bar-codes. Shay Given saying things are more stable at Man City, comparatively, is a cracker! Who cares what he says? He's just an ill educated footballer who like most of his profesion have lost all touch with reallity. He reckons the mags have treated him shabbily after 12 years service! Shabbily?!? Just how much has he been paid in that time? They've set the ungrateful pratt up for life! 'Shabby' imo was the way he walked out on BRFC!

Flopsy Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 i thought we sold him. Still, im with Theno in the way my heart is bleeding for him.
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 What a Numpty! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2211139.ece
DeadlyDirk Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Harry Redknapp thought map during a press conference That's classic stuff, so true! What a Numpty! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2211139.ece What a tool, he goes on to say he'll wait to get Messi's tattoo next when they sign him, another City fan living in dream world. That is lovely Flopsy! Tales of woe at the bar-codes. Shay Given saying things are more stable at Man City, comparatively, is a cracker! The fact that Newcastle have paid him so much money over the years stop me from feeling any real sympathy for him but there's no denying Newcastle have now become a joke of a club and other players in the past have bailed out a lot sooner, 12 services to that club is like 50 anywhere else!
T4E Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Love it Floppers, currently winging its way to one or two Yido's I know that think the sun shines out of 'Arry's Arse.
rebelmswar Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 What a Numpty! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2211139.ece Hes lucky, I still have Sven-Goran Eriksson on my left butt cheek.
Majiball Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Hes lucky, I still have Sven-Goran Eriksson on my left butt cheek. At least you got yours in the right place.
Blue n White Rover Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I read on the SSN ticker today that Sunderland have reduced their Season Ticket prices. This offer is brilliant to get the youngsters in at Ewood. £19 for an U16's season ticket when accompanied by an adult season ticket. That is an absolute bargain if you ask me!
Stuart Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Anyone else see the David Moyes press conference today? The SSN reporter asked about Victor Anichebe to which Moyes answered he wouldn't be playing due to injury. He then stayed completely and embarrassingly silent for the rest of the press conference, completely blanking any further questions, even non-Anichebe related ones, before he walked out. It was bizarre and one of the most uncomfortable things I've seen for a long time. Anyone know what his problem is/was?
LeChuck Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Anichebe went to Hull on loan didn't he? Still, I don't get why that slip of the tongue would cause Moyes so much embarrassment. Any links to that video?
Grabbi Graeme Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 It was reported in a paper this week that Moyes and Anchebe had a bust up because Moyes wouldn't let him go on loan to Hull. I don't get Moyes reaction, it was really childish to say the least, he could have done what most managers do and deny any of it.

92er Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 What did Moysey say? I am sure I have read,or heard, that Anichebe had failed a medical.
Stuart Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 What did Moysey say? He didn't say anything - that's the point. He literally didn't speak. He just looked around the place ignoring the questions. In fairness the clip only showed the conference from the Anichebe question.
Backroom DE. Posted February 6, 2009 Backroom Posted February 6, 2009 He didn't say anything - that's the point. He literally didn't speak. He just looked around the place ignoring the questions. In fairness the clip only showed the conference from the Anichebe question. He said that apparently he'd told the journo he was only allowed to ask one question about the incident and he asked two, and it was on the second question that Moyes went silent. I thought it was quite amusing.
Backroom Tom Posted February 7, 2009 Backroom Posted February 7, 2009 city beating Boro 1-0 Bellamy. Good news for us I think
alexanders Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Sure good news for us. Boro are awful and I think they will dump this year.
Iceman Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Yeah good result, if we beat Villa. BobbyG has been quiet recently, but i see he is reading this thread lol
Backroom Tom Posted February 7, 2009 Backroom Posted February 7, 2009 It's a good result for us no matter what Iceman. Funnily enough for all their skill and money spent City still look to lack something. Should be 2-0 now though Robinho had a mega chance

DeadlyDirk Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Yeh as much as we'd like it we all know that City are not going to go down this season now so it's better they beat the other sides around us, good result if they cling on for the win.
Iceman Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Well good result that for us, and like TCO said no matter what. If we get 3 points today, we will be in a really good position. West Brom vs Newcastle: a draw would be good, Slumberland vs Stoke: either draw or win for Slumberland, Arsenal vs Spurs: Arsenal win.
LeChuck Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Does Rafa Benitez think he's playing in the Carling Cup or something? What a terrible team he's put out against Portsmouth, it's almost like he's given up on the league already. Liverpool: Reina, Carragher, Skrtel, Agger, Dossena, Arbeloa, Mascherano, Aurelio, Babel, Ngog, Benayoun Hopefully they'll win because we really need Pompey to lose, I'm not confident after seeing that though.

It's a pretty poor team for someone that is meant to be challenging for the title, but don't worry Tony Adams is still at the helm, even Rafa can't mess this one up, surely??
