why cant they wait till end of the season

they might actually stand a chance of staying up if they get rid of him-someone knew will more then likely change it around for them..

as for adams-why would you even appoint someone who couldnt even do it in league two-hes a poor manager...

Congratulations to the Pompey board on recognising their mistake and acting swiftly.

If our lot had done the same we might not be in this current predicament.

Err...I'm pretty sure Tony Adams had 16 games in charge and Ince had 17 games in charge.

I would take Babel in a heartbeat, Benitez always plays people out of position, when he plays next to Torres he is awesome

He has that ingredient Rovers are desperately short on pace, and yes, down the centre for Babel not wide left.

Potentially bad for Rovers as whoever Portsmouth get it is going to be an improvement on Adams (who I thought was going to make it as a great manager - shows how much I know). If they get a few wins under their belt they will pull clear.

That makes absolutely no sense. I haven't been sacked (in fact, I have just been promoted). Ince had a better record than Adams (his previous managerial appointments were a success whereas Adams had been a failure elsewhere). Their only similarity was that they were English.

Like you Kamy, I had guessed that Tony Adams would have learnt from previous experiences and to an extent had bought his agent's talk about reformed focussed character etc.

Pompey look a marshmallow team which have had both their backbone and their cutting edge removed. It will need a very good manager to steer them through but Avram Grant is a very good manager - again in my opinion.

Bucky, I think you are the only poster on here whose posts make 100% nonsense reading- to this reader at least. Rover6 at least makes some perceptive thought-provoking observations.

Can I suggest you forget that Ince ever existed and start all over again?

At best, you have proven you can name drop and that you have a dose of verbal Diohorea. Why have you capitalised narcissm?

Why you have misspelled diarrhea? Shoddy work considering you're pulling someone up about a capital letter.

You better keep on your toes Bucky, I'm following you everywhere.

Adams leaving is really bad news, as Portsmouth were the side who were to me in the worst form in the relegation battle. Adam's was doing a job akin to Ince, in destroying all the hard work of the previous manager and there didn't seem to be any signs for optimism at all.

A new manager can only do better, and they still have a fair amount of decent players, who with better organisation could well keep them up. I guess the only cause for optimism is that the new manager won't be able to bring any new players in, and that Pompey's dire financial situation will put off many of the stronger managers. (For this reason I highly doubt SGE will take the job).

That is the second most flattering thing that has been said to me all week.

I think we could be onto something special. Do you swing both ways?
