rebelmswar Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Bent available ... for 12 million. Must feel great to be wanted.
Jordan Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I see Mr Bamble is back to his old tricks. This ones a beauty...trys passing it back to the keeper and falls over. As a result Johnson nips in and scores. It is now 2-0...bad news for us.
1864roverite Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Not all bad Jordan, The slimy Arteta has already been booked, one more and he misses the game against Rovers !! But back to Bramble, a real classic and it rubs salt into the wounds of Rovers how we managed to lose there. A second thought, what about the pitch ? Griffin Park is in a better state of repair.
cn174 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Not all bad Jordan, The slimy Arteta has already been booked, one more and he misses the game against Rovers !! But back to Bramble, a real classic and it rubs salt into the wounds of Rovers how we managed to lose there. A second thought, what about the pitch ? Griffin Park is in a better state of repair. They mentioned the pitch before the game....'as we know both sports are played on the pitch'. But Wigan rugby haven't played at the jjb since October, so they can't blame that.
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Looks like Shiteus has been kicking lumps out of it. My god that one was awful
RevidgeBlue Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Final score 2-1 Everton, five points ahead of us in fourth. However I think we've got more to worry about trying to maintain our current position of ninth than worry about breaking into the top six, let alone top four.
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 "Lets not beat Bramble up too much, he's quite possibly the single reason little kids think they can someday be Premier League footballers. You've gotta have hope." Just found that on the Beeb's site
Exiled_Rover Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 They mentioned the pitch before the game....'as we know both sports are played on the pitch'. But Wigan rugby haven't played at the jjb since October, so they can't blame that. I read somewhere that it's because the pitch is used all year round, the grass isn't given time to bed itself properly. That said, Ewood wasn't looking too great yesterday either.
Roar of the Rover Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Good result for us, Manchester City drew 1-1 againts West Ham.
AggyBlue Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Good result for us, Manchester City drew 1-1 againts West Ham. Now I'm stumped. Do you mean it's good for Liverpool or the Rovers?
1864roverite Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Foolhams bid for King has faltered and he wont be joining for 5m, he has injury issues over old injuries. Now foolham have bid 2.5 m for cousins of rangers !!
Grabbi Graeme Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Spuds 2-0 up against Arsenal (3-1 on agg), Wenger's faith in his kids has slightly faulted as Fabregas is on as sub and Adeybaor (sp) is also on bench.
modes98 Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 3-0 spurs. Game over. Spurs have been on good form to be fair to them
RevidgeBlue Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 3-0 spurs. Game over. Spurs have been on good form to be fair to them 4-0 now. Lennon has been particularly impressive imo. A couple of games too far for Arsenal's kids. We should have beaten them in the second half at Ewood to be fair. Martin Jol must be thinking if only he'd been allowed to stay in charge a week or two longer and get a nice easy confidence builder against Blackpool at home in the Carling Cup!. Would be quite nice to see an Everton/Spurs final instead of the usual suspects for once.
John Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Horrible result in the Spurs game. They have been going on about Ramos since he joined, and now they are in a final. Anyone but Spurs winning the cup.
1864roverite Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Makes you wonder what could have been if Rovers had really pulled their tripe out in the qfinal !!
stuwilky Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Would be quite nice to see an Everton/Spurs final instead of the usual suspects for once. as long as Spurs don't win it clearly. Remembering that if the winner is already a European qualifier via the league the extra UEFA space goes to 6th.
John Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Would be quite nice to see an Everton/Spurs final instead of the usual suspects for once. Don't mind Everton, but feckin hate Spurs.
Presty On Tour Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 5-1 full time. long time since arsenal lost by that margin
brfcshabba Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 They beat Chelsea 5-1 in the semi second leg a few years ago. We all know what happened in the final that year
1864roverite Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Gotta go for the winner of the other tie, Come on Everton !
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 5-1 full time. long time since arsenal lost by that margin ...Yes, I believe it was by some small North West club in the same competition!
