LeChuck Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Isn't either acceptable? Also, is this the sort of conversation we get reduced to when the transfer window closes.
broadsword Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Oh yes, so it is. That's teh sort of thing I'd expect Bucky, in his role as Chief Executive Banana Smoker, to know.
Stuart Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Isn't either acceptable? Also, is this the sort of conversation we get reduced to when the transfer window closes. At least you, bucky and bryan can all be officially described as talking s****!
Amo Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Another parallel between Ince & Adams is that they let key players go for big money (Bentley, Diarra, Defoe) and weren't allowed to invest it into the first-team. But in Adams' case, I think it was out of his hands what with Pompey's debts and desperation for a buyer.
den Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Another parallel between Ince & Adams is that they let key players go for big money (Bentley, Diarra, Defoe) and weren't allowed to invest it into the first-team. Thank goodness. One Grella is enough for anyone.

leftfooter Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Let's see how he does. By all accounts, Adams now is a very serious, focussed and driven individual who has used his time since Wycombe to accumulate a vast knowledge of the game at the top level across the world. A lot of people who have met and interviewed him have been seriously impressed. Sorry Philip, just had to bring this one up. I did tell you he was a bluffer (just like Ince).
tony gale's mic Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I thought he'd succeed too...especially after that Milan performance...
John Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Always thought Tony Adams was a strange man - not surprised to see him sacked.
DeadlyDirk Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I'm gutted Adams has been sacked, he's such a clown I thought they were certain to go down with him in charge, now I'm not so sure. James, Distin, Belhadj, Johnson, Crouch, Krancjar etc are all the makings of a decent team, they can only get better than their Adams days!
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Think we can assume Pompy will pull clear now.
Guest Kamy100 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 This made me smile (It is sorta premier league related): Virgin Trains Advert
rover6 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 SGE linked with the Pompey job. How's the genius been doing in Mexico? Surely, their FA have pinned him down to a lifelong contract to ensure that his magic remains with them.
gumboots Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 How's the genius been doing in Mexico? Surely, their FA have pinned him down to a lifelong contract to ensure that his magic remains with them. actually they hate him because he picks naturalised players and not native mexicans.
thenodrog Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 actually they hate him because he picks naturalised players and not native mexicans. The sh1t would hit the fan if we replicated that over here with Capello! Oliver Holt and about 5% of the members on here would implode.
philipl Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 The French invented the word chauvanism and won the World Cup with five naturalised players... No wonder you boys all detest cricket.
nicko Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 You will be greatly amused when you find out who the new 'coach' at Portsmouth is going to be...
Amo Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Nicko - Incie Wincie Spider? How could Pompey afford Sven anyway?
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 You will be greatly amused when you find out who the new 'coach' at Portsmouth is going to be... Souey or Ince. Please be Ince. Although if he keeps them up, ala Macc, I think the site may well crash, new server or not.
philipl Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I think it is going to be Souness at Pompey.
leftfooter Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Good grief, Pini Zahavi works in mysterious ways. Perhaps Daddy Gaydamak is going to pay Souey's wages by Western Union quick collect?
deftangel Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 You will be greatly amused when you find out who the new 'coach' at Portsmouth is going to be... Sol Campbell? I can only assume the 'coach' is referring to yet another candidate without the qualifications They would be mental to pick Ince, not even a blind man on a galloping horse would do that in their situation!
