LeChuck Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Watching players? I'd be very surprised if any manager left the country to go scouting players when the transfer window had just shut. I'd happily bet that none of the 19 other managers in the league went anywhere. Isn't that what scouts are for anyway?

thenodrog Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Sam did well on the ITV panel in the face of the inanities of Townsend and Sherringham. I like to see Rovers managers raising their own and the club's profile like this. Hughes and Souness always did the club proud as well. Correct. I frequently wonder how Townsend has got where he has.
67splitscreen Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Good read on English player in the Premier league, with a table at the end for the number of players per club. Link
den Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Correct. I frequently wonder how Townsend has got where he has. Oh I don't know, - he's quite good at telling us what we already knew.
Grabbi Graeme Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Watford have taken the lead against Chelsea, still 20 mins to go though
Backroom DE. Posted February 14, 2009 Backroom Posted February 14, 2009 Portsmouth 2-0 Man City. That's the result we should have had against City too. Good result for Portsmouth, terrible result as far as we are concerned.
Mr. E Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 so chelsea are the only team that get a cup win today. Football, such a fair game.
jim mk2 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Portsmouth 2-0 Man City. That's the result we should have had against City too. Most important result of the day from our point of view. Portsmouth this week, Newcastle last week, Stoke the week before : all the lower teams are managing to eke out a win. Where's our next 3 points coming from ?
Eddie Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Jim, didn't you notice the wins we had during our season changing unbeaten run against most of our relegation rivals?
67splitscreen Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Will Harry Houdini, have one great escape left this season. Will he chose himself or spuds ???? Spuds will be the easier option, no doubt about that one. Revenue & Customs
Stuart Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Bullard out for the season according to SSN breaking news! Dodged a bullet there - if our interest was true.
Hughesy Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Crock!! Im sure Fulham knew it too, hence why they wouldnt give him his £50k contract.
LeChuck Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Haha, oh I really hope Hull go down now. If I was AESF I'd be using the search function to bring up the quotes from people who thought he was great signing (30 year old journeyman with dodgy knees for £5 million ). Hull will hardly see any of that fee back when he moves and they'll probably have paid Bullard millions to sit in the physio's room. Brilliant.
Grabbi Graeme Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Boro still 0-0 against Wigan Stoke have just scored a pen to make it 1-1 with Pompey Make that 2-1 to Stoke
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I didn't even know Stoke or Pompy had scored. Bloody BBC. 2-1 Stoke. Oh sh....
Ricky Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 2-2 now at stoke. Good result for us if it stays the same.
DeadlyDirk Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Good. (I think) Just need Wham to nick a goal and everyone who is around us has drawn today.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Bolton 2-1 West Ham Pompy 2-2 Stoke Full time.
American Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Not Premiership, but with no Setanta and Mrs A not quite ready to go to the pub yet, it was great seeing Johnny Stead score at Loftus Road.
blue phil Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Not Premiership, but with no Setanta and Mrs A not quite ready to go to the pub yet, it was great seeing Johnny Stead score at Loftus Road. You not worked out the way to the pub on your own yet ....?
