Think they will be gone by mid April or even earlier which itself may be a problem for Rovers if we have not escaped the bottom 3 by then.

They simply cannot get points away from home, whilst at the same time Boro cannot get a win either.

Lets hope that Rovers can snatch 3 points at the weekend and then take it forward into Everton. Everton looked a little lost today without Arteta, and, whilst he is a Spaniard I dont wish him ill. His injury, if bad, will see him out for the season and will cost Everton dearly.

Hope that Arteta's injury is just serious enough to keep him out of Rovers next game. He is one of the genuine class players in the premiership and has carried Everton virtually single handed for several seasons. For Rovers sake I hope he is fit to return after the Rovers game as Everton are only 50% of the team without him.

Celtic have opened talks with the Scottish Football League to enter a side into the Third Division which could see them granted permission to compete in the lowest league within two years and possibly as early as next season. (Daily Record)

Saw it on the BBC, I wonder what repercussions could come from this? Rovers reserves playing in say the conference or higher would be good for development, but how many clubs would be lost?

Its only like Spain where the big teams have a B side.

I dont think our reserves would win Darwen's league, never mind the conference.

Our academy need to take a look at the likes of Everton & Boro who both seem to be developing some good home grown players.

I don't see Bobby Downes going back into education as Evertons head of Youth did? Middlesbourgh got in people with the knowledge as opposed to learning.

I know they have B teams in spain, but its completely un-heard of over here, if its OK for celtic then the rest can follow. How long before all the top teams have one and then how long before we see celtic and co competing for both the scottish prem and the first division. That can't be good for Scottish football.

I do wonder then If clubs in England could use it to allow them to do it too.

2-1 Spurs, good header by Woodgate. Hull are surely going to drop even further into the mire now after this, its 11 games without a win in the league for them now at this rate.

Wondered how long it would take for a british club to want to try and enter a B team in a lower league. I believe in Spain that B teams aren't eligible for promotion so stay in the lowest league. Not sure how it works for the cups though - I presume they can't enter?

They can't play in the Copa del Rey, although they can play in the top division, it is just that they can't play in the same division as the first team, which makes it impossible for them to get there, but they can be in the second division.

So what if they finish top? Does the next team down get promoted? And what if the first team is relegated to the lower division in which their B team plays?

After last night's result winning on Sunday now becomes very important and also win the game in hand, which would close the gap to 2/3 points on the bunch of team whom are on 28/29 points.

If they win the league and there first team plays in the league above then the y win it but don't go up. If the first team gets relegated into their league then they get relegated and one team gets off the hook.
