tony gale's mic Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 This is really, really bad news. We desperately need Liverpool to get back in it.

Eddie Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I'm watching the game and Liverpool look poor so far.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Liverpool have never won a game when we wanted them to. Ultimate bottlers.
Shabani Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 im furious! how can liverpool not be beating the worst team in the league theyre effin useless when we have to rely on them
sambo Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 OMG Boro 2-0 BIG trouble Tomorrow's game has got 10 times bigger.
Eddie Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 This is why you HAVE to win the teams around you. Lot of good draws have done us.
Exiled in Toronto Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Middlesbrough clearly paying the price for foolishly putting out their first team in mid-week I don't think. Let's see tomorrow if larking around on the training pitch for a week is better than actually winning games for developing a winning habit
Lurid Coat Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 'cking hell. Thanks a lot for the help, Liverpool.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Liverpool are champion bottlers.
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Liverpool are champion bottlers. Seems that way. Lost count the number of times they have shook up the battle for relegation by losing a game they should be winning. Wasn't it last season or the season before they lost to Fulham with a reserve side and it gave Fulham the confidence to stay up? This win could give Boro a huge boost...
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Boro will stay up now, with Tuncay firing them in. So it's a bit of a lottery between us and Pompy. Stoke we should climb above. As good as down if we lose against Hull.
Mr. E Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 "You must be a fool to think we're going down!" - many posters here. I'm not sure what will be worse - if the obvious happens and we do go down, or we stay up by goal-difference and BFS is hailed as the "heroic miracle-worker", only so we can get relegated the season after.
Guest Kamy100 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Not the best result for us, however IF we beat Hull tomorrow it brings more teams into relegation quadmire.
den Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Poo Poo Poo. Still, we need worry about getting to 39 points.
Amo Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Same old Liverpool. Every year touted as dark horses for the league, then duly throw it all away. Hardly an unexpected result. We've got the game in hand, so this is very much in our own hands.
Hughesy Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Expected the scouse result, hence why its on my 10 team accumulator - but Burnley screwed that one up!!
speeeeeeedie Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I can't believe Boro turned Liverpool over. How can you beat Real Madrid away then lose 3 days later to a far inferior outfit. As much as I don't like Man U winning the Scousers deserve nothing. It shows the difference the mental aspect makes. Man U have a culture where most players there have won the title, Liverpool have none and it shows. Arsenal drew with Fulham, they're now UEFA bound next season. We must win tomorrow.
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Looking like its United's title to lose.
leftfooter Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Not sure how badly injured Torres really is, but it looks like Benitez has already thrown in the towel and is saving him for the Champions League. Liverpool were poor. ....and so much for the silly journos spouting about the most 'exciting Premiership race ever' a matter of weeks ago. It's all hype.
Backroom Tom Posted February 28, 2009 Backroom Posted February 28, 2009 If it wasn't big enough already tomorrows game looks like a must must must win now. Lose and I think it's goodnight Vienna for us sadly. I feel sick.
blue phil Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Let's see tomorrow if larking around on the training pitch for a week is better than actually winning games for developing a winning habit Exactly . I'm sick to the back teeth of hearing of poncy footballers who can't play twice in a week . They should take a look at other sports every now and again . Rugby for example - players who were staggering around semi conscious in last night's Wales/France game will be fine next weekend . Tennis is another example . The top players can be on court for 5 hours and do it all again the very next day . If Rovers do go down then it'll be more to do with mental weakness than anything physical .
