RibbleValleyRover Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Draw is a good result and keeps it tight at the bottom, though if we don't start getting wins then its irrelevant.

Backroom Tom Posted March 7, 2009 Backroom Posted March 7, 2009 Maybe good news that Fulham have s full strength team out tonight, hopefully it's a close game and theres a few tired legs come wednesday
Amo Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Fulham started brightly, but now they're 3-0 down with twenty minutes to go. Hopefully this will knock the stuffing out of them by the time we play them.
SoccerHQ Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Don't want to be the bearer of bad news but Craven Cottage was big Sam's bogey ground when he was Bolton manager, could never ever get a result down there. I think anything you get from these two games in London should be viewed as a bonus. After however you must get as a minimum 4 points from the back-to-back home games against West Ham and Spurs.
John Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Heard that we are coming down Tuesday night and staying in London until after the Arsenal game, does anyone know if this is true?
Majiball Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Heard that we are coming down Tuesday night and staying in London until after the Arsenal game, does anyone know if this is true? the teams staying down all week, no point travelling down twice.
SoccerHQ Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Makes sense, Wednesday night to Saturday afternoon isn't that long.
roversmum Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 At least they will be tucked up in bed long before the fans...
gumboots Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 At least they will be tucked up in bed long before the fans... Unless they live in London.
thenodrog Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Fulham started brightly, but now they're 3-0 down with twenty minutes to go. Hopefully this will knock the stuffing out of them by the time we play them. I watched the first half last night and they were murdered by MU. HT score could quite easily have been 5 but for desperate luck by Rooney! Missed a sitter, 'onside' goal disallowed and hit then post when he should have scored. Andy Johnson is always a danger with his diagonal running but waggy's favourite of old Boby Zamora in striking ability is about on a par with Shefki Kuqi...... .......... Oh and our Jason I guess!
Amo Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Well they did look like they were going to give United a go at first, but after that first goal went in it seemed to have a snowball effect.
Stuart Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 What, if anything, do people make of the climb down by Sheffield United? Apparently they wanted £45 million compo from West Ham and have settled for £10 million paid in installments over the next 5 years! Far better than the Hammers deserve and get out of jail card for them. Story in Daily Telegraph Is this a case of SU getting something rather than nothing if they sent the Hammers to the wall...? For me it's disgusting and another example of WHU getting away with bloody murder. Looks like cheating and lying does pay...
Iceman Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 If the name of the team is not Blackburn, then you get away with everything.
Hughesy Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Surely Sheff Utd wouldnt settle for just £10m? Why would they do that?
Guest Kamy100 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 They are settling for £10 Million as this money is guaranteed now, if they went for the £30 Million they may have ended up with nothing as it would led to West Ham going out of business. More serious for West Ham is how they are going to defend themselves in the forthcoming reinvestigation of the Tevez affair, why pay Sheff Utd £10 million if they are innocent?

They are not even taking the 10 mill in one go but are spacing it out over 5 years. Hardly worth all the trouble for 2 million a year, but I suppose it's the principle of making them pay rather than the actual cash amount that matters. After all the damage is done now.
meerkat Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 The Times says 25 million, who to believe? The Times take on it.....
Paul Mellelieu Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I want Liverpool to beat United today, but will give the Scousers more reasons to put out a good performance when we go to Anfield?
rovers1993 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 beautiful sight to see... man utd down 4-1! HAHAHA i'm just loving it!
Paul Mellelieu Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 The miserable sods will be walking past my house in about 20 minutes. I might offer some consoling words of wisdom. Then again....
Rovermatt Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Wonderful to see United humbled so ruthlessly. Unfortunately they'll still take the league title.
