67splitscreen Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 What's happened to L'arse's finishing, FFS they could have had at least three in the first half. No such luck for us last week. Maybe it was just good defending from Taylor, remimds me of big Col when we needed him to pull us out of the brown stuff.

BRFC1995 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 not looking like we'll get any favours with other results today
67splitscreen Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 What a goal by Diabywhile Taylor was off the field, 1-2. Owen coming off the bench for Taylor. Nari scores as I type, 1-3 go on l'arse.
cn_barlow Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 i honestly believe its us or Newcastle... Decided on the last day.
cn_barlow Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Stoke at St James' I think. Aston Villa away...
67splitscreen Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Who do Newcastle play on the final day? Remaining games. Chelsea H Stoke A Spuds A Pompey H Liverpool A Boro H Fulhan H Villa A They will be luck to get 7 points. "I'll just love it"
BRFC1995 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 if bendtner finished better than roberts we'd have a better gd than the barcodes
Exiled_Rover Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 No we wouldn't 'cos he'd have bagged 8 last week if that were the case.
Bobby G Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Newcastle are well and truly in it. Do they have the mental strength to cope! Doesnt look likw it right now.
Fraserkirky Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Newcastle are well and truly in it. Do they have the mental strength to cope! Doesnt look likw it right now. Nope dont think they do, big trouble for them! heads went down after diaby strike. An absolute HURRENDOUS run in for the barcodes. 2 wins tops out of the rest of there fixtures. Hope we can pick up martins and barton(there best player this season btw) in the summer.
Backroom DE. Posted March 21, 2009 Backroom Posted March 21, 2009 Nope dont think they do, big trouble for them! heads went down after diaby strike. No thanks to Barton. Newcastle will struggle now, but I think they could potentially beat Stoke, Pompey and Boro. Stoke are good at home but due a defeat there at some point, Pompey are hardly impressive and Boro are dire. Barcodes still have a little hope, but if they lose to Stoke it's over for them.

Hughesy Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Martins is quality and id have him at ewood any day of the week. He has pace, power and if playing regular he is a real danger to opposing teams. IF we beat Tottenham and Chelsea get the expected result at Newcastle - then we open up a 5 point gap on Necastle, potentially a 7 point gap on boro. Saturday, 4 April 2009 Blackburn v Tottenham, 12:45 Bolton v Middlesbrough, 15:00 Hull v Portsmouth, 15:00 Newcastle v Chelsea, 15:00 West Brom v Stoke, 15:00 The key game for Newcastle really is the one after these when they face Stoke away - LOSE there and I think they have bottled it.
BRFC1995 Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 nobody still knows martins age do they...............23 or 32...........as hit and miss as strikers get
rover6 Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 I think Owen will be Newcastle's not so secret weapon. I don't really rate the guy these days but you cannot deny that he has the mental strength to pop up with crucial goals. He's under the cosh and will be desperate to prove himself when he gets a chance.
bobsterbrfc Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 agreed - as much as i would like it - i just can't see newcastle going down. they'll get the points but i'd love to be proved wrong!
ABBEY Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 2-1 Pompey... not good!!!! just shows the difference in crap blind refs ...... 1.pompeys get a corner which was nowhere near an everton player and score from it. 2.w.ham score an offside goal. 6 point turnaround and this could mean the difference between us staying up or going down.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Wigan 1-0 Hull FT City 1-0 Sunderland L Good so far.
RibbleValleyRover Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Looks like a combination of injuries to a small squad and teams figuring out how they play (counter attacking, long ball football) have derailed Villa's season. I made a prediction a while back that they would come unstuck and it looks like its coming true.
Iceman Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Yet again and dare i say it, its in our hands from now on. We cannot hope other results go our way, its important we get a win against Spurs. Looking at the fixtures coming up, there are teams fighting relegation facing each other and they will get points. Spurs will be crucial now, as a victory for us and defeat for Boro and Newcastle will open up a gap.
