Wigan 1-0 Arsenal.

From the report I heard Wigan are showing Le Arse no respect, getting stuck in and the gooners just don't fancy it.

I wonder if the scousers would have fancied it?

Riley would have. With our injury problems red cards are what we do not want from what must be a virtually unwinnable fixture.

If Boro win it could put Hull back below us.

Now that's some weird logic. I'd MUCH rather Hull win and cause further damage to Boro's confidence, giving us some breathing space and maintaining the 7 points gap between us and the drop zone. Surely it's much better having the teams in the relegation spots lose points in every game?

Yes.

We have to keep that gap between us and the sides below us. That's imperative. Let the teams above us get away.

A draw between Hull and Boro would be ideal.

We really need more than 3 teams other than us in the relegation scrap, so if one team does pick up form (and historically there's often one team which does) we'll still have a bit of leeway.

Can't see Manure letting us down against Sunderland, although a win for Pompey today should see them clear of relegation.

If Boro do win it'll really crank up the pressure on the Stoke-Newcastle game. The barcodes will be getting very worried indeed.

Not sure I can go through this every saturday for much longer - the nerves can't take it!

Thankfully United have a strong squad. Could really do with the Sunderland slump continuing.
