LeChuck Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Fuller is like roberts, if he could finish consistently he'd be a top striker Fuller does finish well when he gets the opportunities though, and he has good skill and an excellent first touch unlike Roberts. I'd swap those two in a heartbeat. Quite ironic that Newcastle's goal came from a long throw then a header.

AJW Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 MOTD to give Newcastle top-billing? yes , and for once tonight i really hope we do get the usual 30 secs at the end of the programme
Backroom DE. Posted April 11, 2009 Backroom Posted April 11, 2009 A point still isn't a great result for Newcastle, though Sunderland's loss today makes things very interesting indeed.
Amo Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 yes , and for once tonight i really hope we do get the usual 30 secs at the end of the programme Not a chance, what with the Hillsborough anniversary and Liverpool's emphatic performance.

Agreed, today is one Toon needed to win I think, next week now really is must win for them and WHL isn't an easy place to win
Ricky Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 The draw keeps Stoke in the mix as well. They're only 2 points above us so there really is everything to play for.
Exiled_Rover Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Not a chance, what with the Hillsborough anniversary and Liverpool's emphatic performance. Yep, they'll lead off with the thrashing, giving it 30 minutes whilst jacking off over the Torres goals and shredding the Rovers performance. It's why I'm not tuning in.

It's why I'm not tuning in. The Arse and Spuds games coming last in the pecking order does not happen often thats for sure.
den Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Reading a post from a supposed 'brough fan, where he was asking how Marlon King [who scored for 'brough] was allowed to play against Hull, where he was on loan from. Is it a contractual arrangement that stopped Simpson from playing against Man Utd - or is it a league rule?
Ricky Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Because he's on loan from Wigan isn't he?? Didn't Wigan loan him to Hull and then loan him to Boro after he fell out with Brown?
den Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Because he's on loan from Wigan isn't he?? Didn't Wigan loan him to Hull and then loan him to Boro after he fell out with Brown? Ah thanks Ricky. That explains it.
Ricky Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Pretty sure that's the reasoning behind it Den. Would also explain how Wigan got Mido on loan from Boro, just a straight swap.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Fuller does finish well when he gets the opportunities though, and he has good skill and an excellent first touch unlike Roberts. I'd swap those two in a heartbeat. Quite ironic that Newcastle's goal came from a long throw then a header. When playing for Southampton, Ricardo Fuller said in the local paper that he's potentially better than Thierry Henry. Unfortunately for all Saints fans reading it, the people of Southampton knew that he couldn't hit a cows backside with a banjo let alone score a goal.
Guest Vinjay606 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Chelsea chairman on summer transfers http://www.setanta.com/uk/Articles/Footbal...ers/gnid-48387/
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 We dont have and in all likely hood wont be getting an Abramovich Vinjay.....what they do is of no concern to us.
Guest Vinjay606 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 It's of interest to me and this is other premier league happenings many of which aren't linked to BRFC. I hope both Chelsea and Liverpool do whatever they can to finish above Scumchester for this season and next.
Backroom DE. Posted April 13, 2009 Backroom Posted April 13, 2009 What makes the Rent Boys or the Scousers any better than Man Yoo? I don't care who wins out of the three of them.
Ricky Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 DE4life, you forget that Vinjay doesn't view Burnley as our local derby.. for him its United....... strange, I know.
thenodrog Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 For Chelsea to sell players they must find somebody to buy them, and even taking the euro/£ exchange rate that task must be getting more difficult all the time. Interesting to note too that Abromovich is following our board's lead* and basically telling Buck and Kenyon to deal within the squad. One in one out policy. Even in the fantasy world of the mega rich clubs there is a cold chill wind blowing in. * I don't expect the press to ever admit this is the case.
Hughesy Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Id rather Chelsea or the mancs win it rather than the scousers. Lets keep it to 4 winners!
Guest Vinjay606 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Liverpool leading 1-0 in tonight's Euro match after Cech got fooled by a clever free kick from Aurelio. Torres missed a very good chance earlier as well. At least it looks somewhat interesting with a relatively early goal.
Guest Vinjay606 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Penalty for Liverpool Alonso scores and this really is interesting.
