Chelsea must be glad to hear the half time whistle. Dangerously close to conceding a third just before entering stoppage time. Just waited it seems to see whether Liverpool would have any impact and they certainly have.

Chelsea probably can't play worse than that in the second half.

2-1 now. Chelsea still looking nervous at the beginning of the 2nd so this goal could possibly settle them a bit.

2-2. Brilliant free kick from Alex.

4-3 to Liverpool now! That Man United commentator saying it's all over (reluctantly had to agree with him) and now Liverpool come back again!

Game of the season possibly?

Unbelievable. They're actually insane.

My word what expert analysis :D !

Caught a fair bit of the second half - very entertaining stuff. Anyone connected with Barca must have been delighted all the way through, thinking that they get their hands (or should it be feet) on one of two very shakey defences. Granted it was cup hell-for-leather approach but even so - Chelski are going to have to work a darn sight harder at defending if they want to have any chance of progressing to the final.

According to the Scousers they were the "real winners" tonight so I guess the first leg should be erased and they should go through on away goals.

It was a good match, but Liverpool threw away a 2 goal lead when they were in total control of the game. Barcelona SHOULD tear Chelsea apart, but what's the betting it'll be Chelsea 1-0 Barcelona?

DE4life, you forget that Vinjay doesn't view Burnley as our local derby.. for him its United....... strange, I know.

I don't consider Burnley our local rivals; at least I don't have the "hatred".

You see, I am Preston born and bred, yet the football team I follow is Blackburn Rovers. Preston is the town I know and, having worked in Bolton for twenty years travelling every nook and cranny of that town, Bolton is the place I know the best, followed by Preston.

If someone blindfolded me and dropped my off in a Blackburn street I would be lost. I'd need a sat-nav or maybe a compass to find my way out!

But when I watch the Rovers and they concede a goal, a lump of lead is felt in my stomach. I only feel lumps of lead in my guts when watching Rovers.

I watched the L'pool/ Chelski game tonight and was thrilled to bits, cheering every goal; but no lead-lumps!

I don't consider them rivals either. The last time I checked Man United are in the same league and have been for several seasons not once since 1983.

There was nothing strange about hating Man United in 1997 when I started supporting this club. Why should I start obsessing over a smaller club BRFC fans basically ignored at that time? As for a break with tradition what about virtually the entire 90's? Things have moved on since the 80's. There might not be a title challenge every season but there have still been games of considerable significance against Man United since.

What's strange is having to explain to our youngest (and potential fans) why on earth so many BRFC supporters obsess over a lower league club. They don't see Everton obsessed with Tranmere or Man City obsessed with Oldham...and those 2 clubs have spent more years in the same league since 1983.

I'm not even going to refer to them by name. They shouldn't be regarded as significant even to mention.

Funny comment from that site "Fair play, would hate to win games with the kind of cheating seen by Chelsea tonight. Utter disgrace to the game they are."

Where did they get this from????

They conveniently forget Gerrard's dive last year in the Champions League to gain them a penalty that put them through  or Gerrard's numerous other dives that get ignored because he's super stevie g and he can't do any wrong. Sir John Lionheart English King Terry gets the same treatment.

Learn what? How to hypocritically change rivals (i.e the break with tradition thread is highly ironic considering the 90's) and switch back again for no apparent reason?

I've always regarded Man United as rivals and one season in 2000-2001 isn't going to change that.

To be fair, United do not consider us rivals, whereas Burnley do. If it's a real rivalry it has to be considered a rivalry by both sides.
