They only supported us because they didn't want Man Utd to win the title. They would've supported Arsenal if they were in that position. Doesn't make us special. Just the fact they hate United.

I'm not fussed who wins the title, doesn't really affect me. Most Liverpool fans I know have never been to Anfield, same goes for United fans and their ground, therefore, not worth arguing over.

and nothing to do with their idol King Kenny winning the premiership?

Seeing as l'Arse have contributed 40% of our negative goal difference, I think it is only fair that they go on and give Boro a right thrashing.

Not being greedy but could do with Boro coming out of today with more than a 3 goal deficit to make up on us if we end up level pegging for 17th place.

Can't see us going down now after this weekend's results... one more win will see us safe. Feeling on top of the world!

Newcastle, Boro and Hull must be feeling gutted. Sunderland as well, no doubt.

The TV Cameras now turn to former Ewood Park legend Alan Shearer.

Shearer has pointed to the 3 home games as must wins, starting with Pompey tonight. A defeat could spell the end for the Geordies, supposedly the best fans in the world

In the famous words of King Kev..." I'll love it, I'll love it" if they go down!

I totally agree. I grew up supporting the Boro and disliking Newcastle so it would be very sweet if the geordies go down, especially if it could somehow happen that the Boro also escaped.

Convinced Gomes had got a hand to the ball before contact was made with Carrick, Redknapp added: "United were not going to win unless something like that happened."

 tired of hearing this from him and spurs fans... ok it was the wrong decision, but with the way that game was going Utd were bound to score eventually, it was a matter of time. They destroyed Spurs in the 2nd half, and deserved the win. At 2-1 Spurs were still ahead, but with the way they're going on you'd think Webb was slotting through balls to Rooney and Berbatov to finish off.

Agree. Have just been on a spurs site to tell them exactly that. they are still very weak mentally and don't seem to have a plan for what to do if the wheels fall off. They don't have the mentality of Liverpool or Man Utd who just won't give up.

They just have to face the fact that their team totally and utterly bottled it in that second half. Webb made one bad decision, but what about the other FOUR goals? Their mentality seems to be that it is OK for them to have capitulated because they had a decision go against them?

he has a weird thing going on with his face all the time  ... I used to think he was alright but I've really come to dislike him over the past 6 months or so. A slightly above average manager who believes his own ridiculous hype, yet doesn't seem to have a whole lot of silverware to show for it  .

Agree 100% about Spurs - the fact they got a dodgy decision didnt have anything to do with the next 4 goals. Pathetic and I cannot stand Redknapp, he has some wierd thing going on with his face when's hes angry too.

As much as I hate Spurs, the penalty decision was the turning point in the game. If United hadn't have got that goal, they wouldn't have had the springboard to score the other 4 goals. We all knew in that game the 3rd goal was crucial, like it is in any games that are 2-0, luckily for United they got a dodgy desicision and went on to win in a comprehensive manner.

If Wigan had got the same descision yesterday 2-0 down, you could put money on it that they would've have thrown everything including the kitchen sink to get that equaliser. Hard going on Spurs, as much as I hate to say it.

Let the slaughtering begin...

I won't slaughter you for saying that, but I do disagree. United bossed that second half, there was no way they were not going to score. Be it a penalty or whatever, they were going to get a goal back. Spurs should have been prepared for this, rather than simply collapsing under the pressure and allowing United to butcher them.

Yes, but the truth is that until that penalty, United looked completely flat and if anything Spurs looked like getting a third goal rather than United getting one. The gifted goal gave United a massive lift.

If you look back at the 1st 10 mins of the 1st half, United were just as bad as the 1st half. Spurs had the game under control. However, when the penalty descision was given, that spurred United on and gave them the springboard. After they got the 1st goal, everyone knew United would go on to win it.
