Burnley are a tidy outfit. They could easily beat us (and then we wouldn't hear the bloody end of it).

Unlikely, but possible. Then again, that will only be a concern if we are drawn together. ;)

Err yeah. Why would saying they are a tidy outfit cause any issues? They beat Arsenal and Chelsea admirably. I know they are our rivals and I dislike them more than most, but saying they are a tidy outfit under Coyle isn't going to make the sky fall down.

Because it's entirely redundant for you to even say it.

Yes, Burnley could beat us. But let's not publicize it so their fans think they have one over us.

Barton sent off for the Magpies.

Anyone else getting brassed off with hearing Liverpool missing all their chances!

Barton sent off WOOHOO

It might have made our 4-0 defeat a little easier to stomach.

EDIT: 3-0 now at least

Next week is set up perfectly now. If Hull can take anything from Villa tomorrow it will be all the more exciting.

Going to be one of the biggest derbys of all time. Winner takes all. Loser leaves with nothing. Can't wait to see the Geordies cry once again :rover:

We're all frustrated but it ain't going to happen. And on the vinjay subject - I've put him on ignore so if you reply to him, please don't quote him!!

So our transfer budget next season will be comparable to this?

Oh good, so that's a net spend of zero then. Or even negative figures.

In case we haven't noticed (and it is not much compensation) but there are worse than us:

1640: Everton's Steven Pienaar is causing a few problems on the left and is unlucky to see his team-mate Dan Gosling get in the way of his shot, which is on target. The Sunderland fans have started to jeer now - their team have just not turned up.

1637: There is a strange lack of urgency by Sunderland considering they know a win will probably keep them up. Well, I think it's a lack of urgency - whatever is behind it, they definitely aren't playing very well.

1635: Sunderland are giving Everton lots of space in their own half and around the centre-circle but the home side have packed their defence - perhaps to try to stop Marouane Fellaini's knockdowns? The Toffees are completely dominant in midfield right now but are still unable to create anything.

And Sunderland are not in a relegation slot and are playing an Everton side as badly hit by injuries as we are...

1-0 Everton - GREAT WEEKEND SO FAR

Modern day players are buggers aren't they.

The Sunderland players aren't happy with Roy Keane he leaves - they probably think they're onto a nice easy soft option with the friendly, familiar face of Ricky Sbragia - perform absolutely heroically for three games - get him the job permanently - and have hardly won a game since!

2-0 to the Toffees. Presuming Everton win results for the other basement clubs could not have gone better for Rovers this weekend.

Time soon to start cherry-picking (on paper at least) the best players from the relegated clubs.

Rumours in the papers today that McClaren will replace Sbragia in the summer. Sbragie to ewood as a coach??

2-0

I've been wondering that for a while. Didn't Sam approach him when he first came to Rovers but Sunderland got in with the manager offer?

What are peoples opinion on Kieran Richardson and Kenwyn Jones? Could they add something to our squad, or at least improve it if Sunderland should get relegated.

Not a bad shout.

nicko previously suggested that Sam ideally wanted Sbragia as coach when he first came in didn't he.

Yes, Sam has also said he wants to bring a few more of his staff in this summer.

He has already got 2 new highly rated scouts & 6 youth players
