Nice one Barca. At least we'll have a proper Champions League final this year, instead of Moscow Part 2.

glad barca went through

but

how many pens were turned down by the ref ? even in the last minute the barca player jumped with his arms up and it hit his arm ....im thinking uefa didnt want an all english final

Perfect response for all those slagging Barcelona's attacking play, and hailing Chelsea's defending with 10 men. Messi was horrid today as was Xavi and Alves, I have no idea how they won.

Hope Chelsea get fined for the way the players behaved at the end of the game, and great to see Barca go through.

Did anyone else notice the mass of empty seats along the top tier on the home end? This is a champion’s league semi final for goodness sake, thats a really poor effort Chelsea.

Isn't it funny that there is no problem in the premier league when the big four get more than their fair share of decisions, and yet according to Jamie Redknapp tonight it's a disgrace the way the ref has played?

Isn't it also funny how Chelsea getting no sniff of the ball and lumping it up to Drogba is considered a defensive master-class yet when anyone does it against them in the league it's a disgrace.

Ho hum - what goes around, comes around

Just so long as the ref gets fired.

Don't really care who won, but it was the worst officiating job I've ever seen.

What an ending, a couple of the pen appeals should have been given imo.

surprised Ballack wasnt sent off for his protests and Drogba will be in trouble.

Redknapp is nearly in tears in the studio

Redknapp is even more angry because his best mates play for Chelsea. He is turning into more of a moaning t**t than his father...

Chelsea players going insane, Keys looking like a relative has just died, Redknapp practically in tears, Souey and Gullit smirking at him, waiting to wind him up some more, brilliant :D :D :D

On the evidence of nearly three halves of football, they are more Middlesbrough 2009 - can't defend and can't make a chance, never mind score a goal. La Liga must be like the SPL if Barcelona are unstoppable."

Chelsea muppets :D

Agree completely with RTH. Spot on!

Drogba went off the deep end big style after the final whistle, got himself booked, and still went on at the ref.

Did you watch long enough to see him confront the ITV camera at the end. He'd completely lost it. "It's a disgrace... a disgrace... it's a f****** disgrace" - very audible.

Followed by Andy Gray: "Apologies to any lip-readers out there!":lol:

I was shocked to hear how the Barcelona game was a "tactical master class" from Chelsea... when for any other team it would have been considered turgid, park-the-bus, "true football" killing tactics  even against 10 men Chelsea opted to play negative. They got what they deserved, classless and pathetic.

ITV just repeated it!! Richard Keys: "Oops sorry, sorry about that, apologies!" Dearie me. There'll be some distressed viewers writing to the Guardian over that!

"Dear Sky

I was shocked and dismayed when I saw Didier Drogba at the end of the Barcelona game. It's a disgrace we have to see this on our screens. Surely with all his money he can afford a better hairdresser.

The only disgrace on the pitch tonight was the three sore losers in Terry, Ballack and Drogba you can't sanction that sort of behaviour under any circumstances, they should be banned from the Champions League next season in my opinion need to stamp out that sort of abuse towards the officials.

Yes the Norweigan Ross Kemp look-a-like ref got a few decisions wrong. The main two being the clear Pique handball he missed and wrongly sending off Abidal. The other two Chelsea penalty claims were marginally and maybe Drogba's reputation went before him on one of them.

Tonight was a victory for football. Barcelona were the better team over the two legs. The only team intent on attacking and passing whilst Chelsea sat behind the ball and relied on the counter-attack and long ball. Chelsea's negative attitude at the Nou Camp and in tonight's game came back to haunt them in the end as they go out on away goals.

Amongst all that I almost forget the two high quality goals that were scored. Iniesta was Barca's real driving force tonight and he turned up just on time for them.
