Chimbonda strolled forward like it was all too much effort. He really is a terrible professional.

Let me get this straight; you're criticising how he walked from the half way to take a penalty? I mean, never mind he was bombing down the right flank all night and supplied the cross for Berbatov, he's a terrible professional for not walking briskly enough? Utterly ridiculous.

Bolton to win the Uefa Cup???

Be great that given the lack of media interest in Notlobs euro campaign all through the season. They've concentrated on the 'big' boys throughout so it would be nice to see em served a large dish of humble pie.

btw ... Even better for us if a UEFA trophy is accompanied by relegation.

To be fair I didn't fancy either Zokora or Chimbonda to score when I saw them bending down to place the ball .................... in their wooly mittens.

Zokora proved me wrong, Chimbonda proved me spectacularly right.

4.44 on the BBC website player rater. Only slightly ahead of Robbie Savage's 4.43.

Those are rubbish though. Most of the time Bentley gets our player of match regardless of how he has played. It's probably just the same people who rate the players on pre-conceived ideas.

Not Premier League, but didn't want to start a new thread for it. 7 Cubans from the U-23 squad have defected during the current tournament in the US. My favorite quote came from the coach of a Miami club that plays in the US equivalent of the Championship:

"I watched their game against the U.S. on TV, and I thought the Cuban team played very well," Muzzi said. "We were kind of scouting that game because anytime a Cuban team comes to the United States, there's a chance someone might defect."

2-0 pompey leading is good for us.

we will be playing portsmouth soon and if we can grab a win there then we will be back in the chase.

pompey winning villa will keep the gap between us and th 6th spot close. if villa won then the gap would be increase or stay the same.

Watching MoTD this morning and the show provided more than a couple of talking points... mostly referring to normal big club bias.

1. wtf was Mido sent off for?

2. Congrats to Roy Keane (kinell I must be going soft) Sunderland must be well p1ssed off that Terry survived a definite penalty appeal and a sending off before scoring the winning goal.

3. Why was the free kick given for Lpool for Torres goal? Same match Mascherano.... What sort of a goal celebration is someone who speaks spanish as his native tongue sucking his thumb before screaming (Please don't use that word again)k off, Fukck off to no one in particular? Thank God he's only scored one this season.

4. Only saw it once (linesmans view) and I will check tonight but did anyone else think that Rooney was offside before he crossed to Ronaldo for the MU goal?

5. The kid who threw his shirt at Coppell will rightly be in for a seriously difficult time these next few weeks. Officially Coppell will be seen to act accordingly but unofficially the captain and a couple of senior players should be the guys to 'sort it'.

6. Wenger blamed the pitch just last week when Arsenal could only manage a draw against Wigan. Yesterday they were lucky to draw with Boro.... on the best pitch in the country!

Ridiculous high boot, fair decision in my opinion. Mido could, and should, head or even chest the ball down in that situation, but he stupidly went in with his boot and hit Clichy. Maybe an accident, but van Persie was sent off for a similar incident earlier in the season ?

Rubbish when Mido set off for that long through ball Clichy was behind him and Mido had his eyes on the ball the whole time. There was no intent whatsoever.

btw u ever played footy herhergeeh? If so tell me how you can get your chest on a ball thats a yard away from your body and then go on to let me know how you can control a 40 yard punt with your head!

Halsey reacted to the sight of blood like a fainting teenage girl. These things happen in football. I'll bet Clichy is traning Mon and playing in their next game. Head wounds are easy to do and spectacular to witness. Before aids players were bandaged up and played on.

Be interesting to see which of these Halsey will stick on Mido to cover his inept decision. Here's his choice.

Serious foul play

Violent conduct

Spitting at an opponent or any other person

Denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goalscoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball

Denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player’s goal by an offence punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick (known as a professional foul)

Using offensive or insulting or abusive language and/or gestures

Receiving a second caution (yellow card) in the same match

Anyway on MoTD Shearer agreed with me! :P
