With reference to the "after match" fracas at chlski v man poo I have just had a vey interesting chat with my mate who still works down there.

Apparently, SKY cameras were still running at the time AS well as the clubs cctv cameras. I cannot confirm this but I believe that an early showing of the SKY footage was shown on SSNews but has now been replaced by the clubs cctv images. Can anyone confirm this or actually saw it ?

Anyhow, the SKY footage has now gone missing and the suggestion is that there is a cover up, arranged by by MAN POO as it clearly shows one united player toe to toe with the head groundsman, and then a free for all with 2 other reserves and other ground staff. TWO seperate complaints of assault were alleged but as it stands its unclear as to whether or not the Police are involved or are making enquiries.

There is supposedly a meeting tomorrow morning with ALL ground security staff to discuss the melee and there is an ongoing enquiry to locate the missing recordings !!!!!

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I was watching sky sports news from the last 10 mins of game until 5pm and i was almost sure I saw exactly that the 1st time. It appeared to be closer footage but then later it was the poorer quality cctv. Looked like Evra was the main culprit and im sure Park stuck his boot in too.

No doubt the way of doing it is unchanged from pre-internet and sms days; all of ten years or more ago! I do remember the timing was set for late January as by that time every club ordinarily would have played every other club at least once by then so the pros should have had the chance to see the contenders at least once in sporting combat.

The voting goes across all four divisions with each division having its own PoY competition.

Just read in the Guardian that if Brum lose next week-end (at Fulham) and Bolton (home to Sunderland) and Reading (home to Spurs) both win then BIG CLUB are relegated.

From a Rovers' perspective, the St Andrews trip is tricky either way but facing an already-relegated Brum is surely preferable.

Interestingly, kicking off at Villa Park at 3pm with none of the above games already settled (West Ham v Man U is the early game) is Villa v Wigan. Wigan are safe if any of Brum, Bolton and Reading fail to win but if all three of those win (and Fulham are relegated in that scenario) and Wigan lose at Villa, then Wigan face the title decider against Man U the week after in grave danger of going down if Fulham then win at Derby and Bolton get a draw against Chelsea.

A lots and ifs and buts but none of them in the realms of fantasy individually and certainly sufficiently alarming no doubt to have Wigan fighting for their point for safety at Villa Park- we hope!

And a thought about the sorts of perversity which makes life so interesting at this time of the year. Apparently, Mansfield were doing all the pressing on Saturday against Rotherham to get the winner which would have put their league future in their own hands with a game against fellow-strugglers Dagenham to come on the final week-end. A Rotherham player in desperation took a wild punt from over 40 yards out and the Mansfield keeper moved to collect it from behind the goal to get the ball back into play as fast as possible as time was running out. Only a gust of wind caught the ball and it dropped just under the bar and into the net. At the final whistle, a Mansfield fan found their Chairman and beat him up.

Told by a good source last summer that City had been in for Hughes very very strongly. He must now be damned glad that he didn't take the job. The only chance of em getting him now would be if he were able to write his own contract.

Thaksin has decided to sack Eriksson according to BBC.....

Ludicrous decision to say the least, possibly Thaksin considers Man City a title challenging team and is disappointed they will come only 9th, overlooking the fact that they were 4 pointw from relegation last season.

That is one of the most ludicrous sackings I have seen. For a team that was ###### on the feild and ###### in the playing roster and to ahve him turn it pretty much around in one year is a bloody good effort.

Give the guy another couple of years and some dollars to boost the squad further and he could easily take them into the top four

Apparently he had a 5 year agreement with Sven that this season they had to get the top 10. Isnt that what they have done??

Think he believed the early hype too much that they could get a champs league spot and now he's disappointed! Crazy!

Who next Nicko, Scolari? Mourinho?
