The transfer fees are probably correct.

Gudjohnson earns around £5m a year more than Zamora so if they both transfer on their current wages (unlikely I know), Zamora for four years will cost 6 + 1x4 = 10 and Gudjohnson will cost 5 + 6x4 = 29.

Clubs look at total cost of ownership.

Fans look at transfer fees and get confused.

Yes he is. At least we haven't been linked this time. How on earth is he worth £6m though? Surely that's a made up price.

Hold on.......................Fulham are managed by Roy Hodgson. Maybe we should offer The Axe for £10m!

Only if we can fit him up with a Swiss passport.

LIVERPOOL knocked out of the transfer market

Juve have pulled out of the Alonso deal gaving been Raffa's cash banker all summer.

And surprise, surprise, Gareth Barry will resume training with Villa tomorrow.

So no more interest from Villa in Bentley now???

Job sorted. So lets use the Hughes money and the 10m promised in the spring and buy Barry for our problem midfoeld berth. Job sorted! Oh and when Thaksins swinging on a rope and City go absolutely tits down lets get Sparky enlisted as Chief Scout.

Interesting to see how Arsenal's midfield will shape up with Gilberto, Hleb and Flamini all gone. Nasri seems to be a Pires type, so unless Diaby or Denilson can come on strong they'll need to spend some more.

They'll finish 3rd or 4th, miles behind Man U and Chelsea and call it a successful season as they've once again qualified for the Champions League.

Thaksin Trial Update....(see earlier in the thread)

£2M of money was given to court officials by Thaksin’s lawyers. This was dubbed “Pastry Gate” as the money was delivered in a pastry box. This resulted in 3 of Thaksin lawyers being thrown in jail for 6 months for contempt of court.

Opponents of Thaksin Shinawatra have every reason to count judges as their allies after a series of court rulings dealt major blows to the five-month-old pro-Thaksin Shinawatra government.

The current government may fall at any time as street protests continue.

To make matters worse, there is a serious situation on the Thai-Cambodia border that could result in military confrontation at any moment.

Overall, maybe not a good time to go on your holidays to Bangkok. Also maybe not a good time to spend £19M on a footballer if you're Thaksin...?

I should think so, too. That'll teach 'em. Absolute disgrace.

Should have been at least £10m...............................
