Amo Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Bobby Zamora is a decent striker, and I actually remember when we were linked with him awhile back and everyone scoffed.

John Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Segundo Castillo starting for Everton today in their match against Stoke.
Exiled_Rover Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Segundo Castillo starting for Everton today in their match against Stoke. ....and so far he's looked crap.
el_gringo_999@yahoo.co.uk Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Whilst I didn't see the game, I imagine as Gerrard didn't start Carragher was captain? I believe the idea of this respect malarky is that its fine for the captain to query the ref, but no-one else? Scratch that, after seeing the way the Man Yoo and Chelsea players - especially Rooney & Terry - reacted to the sendings off I reckon it must just apply to the 16 non- CL clubs in the division.
Gamst Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Interesting to see that Craig Fagan has broken his leg as a result of that dreadful Danny Guthrie challenge. I bet Guthrie will not be demonised like Lucas was for his tackle on Carragher! You cant get away with injuring Sir Jamie, but I doubt the media will care about Fagan!
Hasta Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I've just backed Tottenham not to win tonight. Draw or Villa victory will suit me. I think the loss of keane and Berbatov has ripped their strikeforce to pieces. and the midfield of Lennon, Huddlestone, Zakora and Modric is a rather average quartet. Villa should have a decent amount of the ball and cause Tottenham quite a few problems. You know what this means - 3-0 home win coming up !!
LeChuck Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 the midfield of Lennon, Huddlestone, Zakora and Modric is a rather average quartet. Sadly, every single one would have walked in to our starting eleven on Saturday.
Hasta Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Sadly, every single one would have walked in to our starting eleven on Saturday. Too true. Notice Bentley is on the bench as is Jermaine Jenas. Ledley King is 'rested' for the UEFA cup game against Krakow on Thursday.
jim mk2 Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 the midfield of Lennon, Huddlestone, Zakora and Modric is a rather average quartet. !! Gordon bleeding bennett, are you serious ? All four are better than anything we've got.
Hasta Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Gordon bleeding bennett, are you serious ? All four are better than anything we've got. I'm talking in the context of being favourites to beat Villa, not compared to us. After 25 minutes it would appear i was right. Tottenham are woeful and lucky not to be 2 or 3 down.
ffan Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Gomes is doing well. On a side note Fellaini of Everton, the 15 million pound buy, what an utter rip off. Look very average although it was against Stoke so I wil give him the benefit of the doubt.

ffan Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Gomes punches more times than Kahn. Bit of a wake up call to Mr Bentley being on the bench Spurs fans are freaking out! Reading Glory Glory and they have labelled the summer signings board signings and not Ramos signings!
Hasta Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Spurs fans are freaking out! Reading Glory Glory and they have labelled the summer signings board signings and not Ramos signings! They're just a bit miffed that Man City look like they might displace them as one of 'The Big 5'.

Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Bentley is on and in the thick of it. 2-0 Villa (Young)
Claytons Left Boot Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Continued congratulations to Lyn Oslo who tonight have just beaten arch city rivals Valerenga for the umpteenth time. 1-0 was the score tonight and it was back in 1981 when Valerenga last won the derby. Sounds familiar.......
67splitscreen Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Spuds??????and I thought we had problems
Exiled in Toronto Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Very much enjoying the ongoing collapse of Bentley's career. Going from being the fulcrum of a top 7 team and in the England team to being a benchwarmer for the bottom club getting tonked by Villa and out of the England set-up. Oh, and his most knob-ish hairdo yet. Excellent career move, David
