:rover: Well i applied for a job this morning,it was a online application and the computer said NO,so how does that one work  still at ewood we have 5k empty seats and i make a suggetion about how we could fill them, and the fans say NO :brfc:

There are numerous ways you could fill Ewood. Your's is just one suggestion.

Whilst a large proportion of unemployed might be genuine cases, why should there be any incentive for them to spend money on something as trivial as football (in the grand scheme of things)?

One thing I noticed last night at the MyPa game was the increased number of asian supporters... i don't mean there was lots of them but a few which is very rare... they were kitted out in Rovers gear too... would boost crowds if it catches on in the asian communities.

The 13,000+ crowd last seems to suggest Rovers' ultra low pricing for the UEFA is bringing in the numbers very encouragingly and many who haven't normally been going- if Rovers keep this up (bound to with Larissa) then they will get the thrill of the Cup- thinking and looking forwards to the next round.

In a way, Waggy has answered his own thread here.

Rovers have priced very attractively without cannibalising or causing divisiveness.

Rovers fans are getting a taste for European football.

Everyone I have spoken to would rather watch Rovers play the likes of Bayer Leverkusen than Portsmouth.

i realise that in saying this i will stand in the face of a mighty wind......and i have a very working class/socialist background.........

but some jobs out there are just a bag of pants......telesales, spec street sales, crappy multi-national till work...etc etc etc

its just the state of this countries economy.....i just dont believe that the idea that your doing anything of any importance is one that is attached to most lower paid jobs these days.........they can really soul sapping....i dont blame some people for not wanting to do them!

I have a working class background too, but let me tell you the jobs you say are bags of pants, that is why they call 'em JOBS and it is known as WORK.

You want to talk about pants jobs mate talk to an old time miner and ask him he he would have liked a cushy desk job. He'd snatch yer hand off most like. What do you want to be entertained at work? Is sitting at home drawing the dole not soul sapping?

I have had to work at a well known chain of sandwich shops, despite having a degree. Whilst I don't think I'm a natural at telesales, and that would be a bit of a nightmare for me, I'd do it. Being on the dole gets so boring and just makes you feel like your not worth anything. I'm a bit broke so maybe one of you foreign chaps can buy me a season ticket :P:lol:

Anyway, I'd love to come up and see a match, and I might save up and make the trip this season! It has been 10 or more years since I have seen a match.

:rover: another 3k empty rovers seats,2 off our better supported games gone and not a cappacity crowd in sight.in the grand scheme off things,if the unemployed cannot afford football at ewood how do there families afford it?this i'm alright jack fook the rest,is what is wrong with this country.free tickets to the unemployed would fill ewood, but then again most off the season ticket holders would be in uproar, wanting free tickets for themselves,or a 1/4 percent off there £200,000 mortgage :brfc:

OK, so how would this work, tickets would be in a specific area? Or simply general access to the stadium?

Either way it would actually cost the club money in terms of the legal requirements for stadium staff.

Tickets are now cheap, as a one off it would probabyl annoy me. But more than once and I'd question why I bothered buying my season ticket.

:rover: I,d start putting the concessions in the darwen end,so every one would know they were unemployed, and at half time season ticket holders could throw rotten veg at them, curse them for being lazy scrounging rascals,so if the game was as good as the last 2 home games, all the moaners could moan at them instead :brfc:
