I really think we have to watch Petrov. When the Mrs stuck him in her fantasy team I laughed at her saying no one knew anything about him but after seeing him play he seems to have this burst of speed which lets him Ghost past people. Keep him quiet and drag Richards out of position (which has happened to him a couple of times) and we can win this one.

Attack, attack, attack!!! Im sure we can win this one.

Our boys looked class on saturday when we went 1-0 up and for the rest of that half we battered them. I think like the above we should test the keeper and especially from free-kicks & corners.

Pedersen should practice his corners and try swinging a few straight into the goal, with 6ft 7 Samba stood infront of Kasper.

Im predicting a 2-0 win for Rovers.

We could win this but City have three absolute flying machines in Elano, Geovani and Petrov, all of whom happen to be top, top players also. I'm not sure that the three points are ours yet.

Elano is quality as are richarrds and Dunne, Petrov & Geovani are decent players but no world beaters

Neither are TOP players, you dont get released from Benfica on a free, have a trial with pompey get relesaed if youre a top player. Man for Man- Rovers are better , city have had a good start as a new regime often does but i fully expect them level out and finish anwhere between 8th-12

Geovani looks promising. The fact that he was released and passed up by Pompey doesn't really mean anything. Look at Nelsen, Samba, Tugay, Friedel, to name but a few; we'd all say they were, or at least have been or could be, top players, but they were all either passed up by other teams or not highly thought of by their previous clubs.

They may be half decent players but neither Petrov or Elano have blistering pace neither have the nerve for physical football.

Rovers have to win the midfield battle because the front men with good supply and support can easily overrun the City defence.

I'm not entirely convinced by young Schmeichal either ; he should be tested

Maybe a new version of the song the BBE used to sing to Nigel Clough!

....it certainly affected young Nige, i seem to remember ;)

Will be interesting to see who plays for City on Sunday- they are reported to be chasing additional signings all over the place.

Assuming no work permit problems, they will all be eligible for Sunday's game I think as the deadline falls on Friday.

United battered them but couldnt score in a free brothel.

I'm going for a 2-2 draw and I also think, looking at how awful England are doing without him, that Sven deserves more credit than he gets, or will get

Hasta, since when have highlights of Man U v anyone not shown anyone getting absolutely hammered.

In the Man U and Arsenal games, total shots on/off target were fairly even which showed City were giving as good as they got in front of goal.

Man U murdered City but couldn't score. Arsenal also ran rings around them. The difference is that you knew Arsenal would score but only when they decided not to require 25 passes in the box beforehand.

It should be a good game, not many goals either.

Rovers to win 2-1 in front of 29,669

Citeh will sell out the Darwen End and have 2 supporters in the Riverside who will be heard to say, ' yaw righ?'

They'll have one fan in the Jack Walker muttering about, 'eatin a mahs bah in the cah pahk.'

:brfc:

You might need to revise that, City have sold 3500 so far

If I remember correctly,Man City boycotted us ,and a llot of fans stayed away in protest of the price of tickets.

So,it looks like it's going to be a full house this time around.

It seemed so dead last time they came.

If I remember rightly Citeh were crap last year and 'boycotted' a lot of games in protest at prices. Strangely they also boycotted the home games as well. If they really only sell about 4000 it will be a disgrace for the biggest club in the world. I'd expect they will bring close to a sellout being the gloryhunting scrotes that they are, just as they did in the cup when it was 'their year'.

Absolute vermin and if there is any justice they will be panned 5-0 and sent packing.

Haven't our ticket prices been cheaper than most others in the Prem? (or do we hike up the prices for the away fans - particularly the local ones - as some other teams do?)

As for this weekend's game - we beat them three times last season :tu: but with the new look Man City, the result is less certain.

However, early season optimism is still around and I believe that on our day we can beat almost anyone (except Chelsea), so I'm predicting an optimistic 2-1 (but will settle for a draw).

If City don't sell out, then I'd be disappointed.

It's only £20 for adults, £7 for juniors and the tickets are actually cheaper than their match against Bristol tonight.

It's only 40mins on the train from Manchester

They're in form and despite the Arsenal result, got off to a great start

It's not on tele

So much for being 'proper' supporters
