Whilst Rovers ensured that they progressed to the next round this was no more than a pre season friendly, which was summed up by Mark Hughes post match comment.

"We have got the job done and I am delighted we have progressed.

"That was the aim but fair play to MyPa they worked extremely hard and kept going until the end.

"We were never in danger of losing the tie, though, and will be looking with interest at the draw on Friday."
