LeChuck Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I have a computer which has a genuine Windows XP Home COA key sticker on the case, but unfortunately no disc. Would I be breaking any laws by selling the computer with a copied CD to go along with the genuine COA key on the case? If that's not allowed, is the computer worth more if it comes with a COA key but no disc than if it had neither? Is the COA key worth anything on it's own?

bblue Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Not 100% sure, but it should be legal. In my view, the COA key is what makes the software legal, not the digital support on which the kit is carried.
