spencey7 Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Judging by what I can find on the schedules for this week we appear (YET AGAIN) to be the only British team to have been shafted when it comes to live UEFA Cup coverage. Am I right?

unsall Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Judging by what I can find on the schedules for this week we appear (YET AGAIN) to be the only British team to have been shafted when it comes to live UEFA Cup coverage. Am I right? The only coverage seems to be a tv station fron Greece which is no good to us over here, seems like Bolton are another who arn't being covered as well
McClarky Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 It might yet appear on Channel 5, they sometimes announce quite late on.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Isn't it something to do with UEFA safety or something?
Tris Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I'm not sure why people get so surprised or upset about this. It's not rocket science - of the 4 English clubs in the UEFA Cup Rovers (and Bolton) would pull in nowhere near as many viewers as Spurs and Everton. TV viewers who will already have gorged themselves on Tuesday and Wednesdays Champions League fixtures, and who have a Rugby World Cup and a Cricket 2020 World Cup going on.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I am still hopefully that it will be a late inclusion on C5.
Backroom trueblue Posted September 16, 2007 Backroom Posted September 16, 2007 I am still hopefully that it will be a late inclusion on C5. Channel 5 are showing the Everton game (according to Sky listings)
Brownie Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 The only coverage seems to be a tv station fron Greece which is no good to us over here, seems like Bolton are another who arn't being covered as well Which just so happens to be a channel attainable at The Hordens !!

3rdpillar Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 A jittery computer screen is no comparison to sevral tv's and a big screen like we have in The Hordens ! Plus we'll be opening early at 3, not that I'm advertising or anything ............... Might just 'ave t' ave t'afternoon off then!

Brownie Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Wonder what time the Old Bill will turn up? Something illegal about showing a Greek channel called Net ?? News to me
rog of the rovers Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Commentary on Radio Lancs for me then. Once an English team goes out, we'll get a regular channel. (Unless were the first out)
Presty On Tour Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 so channel 5 have binned us, i'm well suprised eurosport didn't take the option of us.
modes98 Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Channel 5 are showing the Everton game (according to Sky listings) Indeed they are but that is a later game. Some channel may take us up for 4pm but i doubt it. Damn Saltana and Eurosport!
ABBEY Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 A jittery computer screen is no comparison to sevral tv's and a big screen like we have in The Hordens ! Plus we'll be opening early at 3, not that I'm advertising or anything ............... it is when your working and driving at 6
Tris Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Something illegal about showing a Greek channel called Net ?? News to me You might want to shift this off your website though ...
Mike Graham Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 You might want to shift this off your website though ... the pubs in Blackburn are back to showing all home and away Premier games live with the Feildens in Pleasy and The Station in Cherry Tree offering an excellent service for those unable to travel away , or as far as Ewood Park for that matter! Unfortunately I won't be able to travel to Greece due to work commitments, on Thursday night i'm hosting a meal in Aldeburgh in Suffolk so will have to rely on dammed texts.
Brownie Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 You might want to shift this off your website though ... I wish I could, thats an old website from years ago that I dont have access to. If anybody out there knows how to get rid of it ?
Hughesy Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Hopefully the club and police will crack down on it again!! the pubs in Blackburn are back to showing all home and away Premier games live with the Feildens in Pleasy and The Station in Cherry Tree offering an excellent service for those unable to travel away , or as far as Ewood Park for that matter!
