American Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I think I'd rather have United win. That way only one set of supporters have bragging rights and we don't have to hear crap from both sets for the next year or so.
1864roverite Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I just cannot be bothered about tonight. if anyone thinks the game will be anyting other than a boring crappy affair then good luck to you. If ever a game was a nailed on 1 goal affair tonights the game. Think I will spend the night doing the gardens, tidying up and then washing my hair
Ozz Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Think I will spend the night doing the gardens, tidying up and then washing my hair Won't take long
colin Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Well, that wallpaper won't paste itself to the walls, so I know what I'll be doing.
Billy Castell Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 On Radio 5 they were asking people to phone in and say who they wanted to win. I was tempted to ring and say I wanted neither to win as they are both money grabbing, selfish, arrogant whining, hypocritical bags of crap who have played their part in creating a tedious, predictable league and the destruction of football as a sport. I hate both teams, and their fans are ____s.
1864roverite Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Oh Billy if only........ That would have made my night listening to that
T4E Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Bloody boring this. Watching it on Sky Sports makes it seem like just another Grand Slam Wednesday.
Plastic Head Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Malouda is truly awful. Seen him a few times on TV and still can't see why he gets in a team that finished 2nd in the Prem. Think they should buy Jason Roberts for £25M. He would certainly be an improvement.
Plastic Head Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Van De Sar is also completely pants. He kept Rovers up single handed a few seasons ago. Just managed to get on Chelsea to win the tie at 4.8 just before the goal. COME ON CHELSKI.
Rovermatt Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 My utter contempt for United deepens with every half of football that they play. I won't be surprised if Chelsea completely bottle this in the second half.
FourLaneBlue Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Bloody boring this. Watching it on Sky Sports makes it seem like just another Grand Slam Wednesday. It did get a lot better after the first 15 minutes. Rooney has been excellent so far...that run brushing aside a player and cross-field ball which was knocked into Tevez to miss was fantastic. With Lampard´s equaliser it is hard to have any idea which way this will go. It is already a lot better than the FA Cup final last year.
Mozzer Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 two golden chances tevez has missed...for me as a striker he misses far too many easy chances.. he works hard-and will chip in with a few goals-but them two misses could cost united champs league..

A heartbreaking penalty loss for either would be fine by me.
T4E Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Chelsea are well on top now, look particularly dangerous in the air from crosses and corners.
Rovermatt Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 It just gets worse. Let's purge this season from the memory banks then.
RibbleValleyRover Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I didn't watch it, but just turned the radio on and they said Terry's foot sunk into the ground a bit like Beckham did in the 2006 world cup?
Rovermatt Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Surely 2004? There are people shouting in celebration in the street outside. They better get indoors quick.

Ah yes it was 2004, the opposition was the same both in 2004 and 2006, Portugal So was it a really bad penalty miss? or could the pitch have played a part?
Dunnfc Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I found it bizzare that all comentators were saying what a brilliant end to end game and full of attacking play, well im sorry but two teams playing 4-5-1 and having a petulant child sent of isn't end to end and very attacking. I thought Chelsea deserved to win on the balance of play but well done to Man Utd for being unbeaten throughout the tornument.
Rovermatt Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I do. He shouldn't have been so high up on the list though. The ease with which Kalou slotted home his penalty suggested he was the man for the job. It's easy to say now. United are the champs and I'll have to face my United-fancying boss and his weak grasp of the game in work tomorrow.
brian_gallagher85 Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Slightly. More than I do for Anelka, just wish they hadn't had Ballack and Lampard taking their's early It's going to be a painful few months...thank god the Euros are around the corner.
doctorryan Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 It was raining heavily; he just slipped. Sh** happens.
