philipl Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Anelka gets a well-deserved kicking from the Guardian. Anelka was a very lucky boy that Terry blubbed so badly and then get caught on video expelling vile things at Tevez followed up by the Grant story. They guy is bad news and I'd hate to see him at Ewood.
Shaddy Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I don't feel sorry for Terry. He and Lampard demanded obscene wages. Yet when his club had so much at stake, the rare moment that a club should feel relieved it has paid the premium demanded for complete competence and professionalism, Terry couldn't even dispatch a penalty. And another thing... I am adamant that although Terry's standing leg slipped, his kicking legs motion was unaffected and he simply misjudged the placement. Yet so many media organisations, and John Terry himself (see quote) seem to be trying to define that piece of history with the sympathetic notion that the miss was a result of the slip: "I have watched it again on TV. You can see I slipped and I still can't believe it."
