stuwilky Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I hope Nelson is back, as I fear the worst if oojier plays. He is too slow and their attack will out pace him. Either nelson or Henchoz in defence is needed. Pace? Henchoz? Ive seen a tanker turn quicker!

DanLad Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Pace? Henchoz? Ive seen a tanker turn quicker! I've seen milk turn quicker...
Jan Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I'm driving down from Edinburgh and back straight after. Whether this is wise given my 4 hours sleep last night (because I had to catch a flight from London to Edinburgh at 6.50) I don't know. Need to shout loud!
KimberleyBRFC Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Absolutely whacking myself over tonight, i'm a nervous wreck
stowell Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Will the match be covered on lancashire radio?? Wondering if i should catch a few hours of sleep between now and kick-off...
Cocker Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I know that this is the Rovers thread (and message board) but I didnt want to open a separate thread for this. Spuds have loads of space in their game (on now) and Defoe has missed a good few chances already - that lad really needs to pull his finger out now he has a chance. He is giving no reason why he should be ahead of the other strikers they (or England have)
Presty On Tour Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 last time out we underestimated them and got just deserts. this time lets get out there and get the job done, the tour has only just began
revolutionrock! Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Going to the match soon, COME ON ROVERS. Keep the faith, remember that it took us till 60min to break B'Ham but then the goals flowed. :brfc: :rover:
Pinch Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Going to the match soon, COME ON ROVERS. Keep the faith, remember that it took us till 60min to break B'Ham but then the goals flowed. :brfc: :rover: Mind you there wasn't the pressure to score multiple goals on that day, that there is today. That said, if we can't win at least 2-0, with 20,000 (hopefully) packed into Ewood, against this mob....we kind of deserve to go straight out. This is a big chance for the lads to take back something after a horrible showing last leg. I really wish I could hear what Hughesy says to get 'em going before kick-off, but I imagine he won't have to say much. GET INTO EM!
Pinch Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I just think it would be a HUGE lift to snipe an early goal...my nerves are janglin'...and the players' will be too if they go the first 60 mins without a goal this time.
Hasta Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I think we might have a problem tonight. Just seen Larissa's starting line-up. Ares Atlas Hades Poseidon Hermes Perseus Hephaestus Cratos Pegasus Apollo Bakayoko
philipl Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Hasta, at least Babayako's not playing! (well done!!!) Distressing number of "lesser brethren" getting goals in the games already under way. Well done Aberdeen for grabbing the lead against Dnipro in the Ukraine.
Exiled_Rover Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I think we might have a problem tonight. Just seen Larissa's starting line-up. Ares Atlas Hades Poseidon Hermes Perseus Hephaestus Cratos Pegasus Apollo Bakayoko Isn't there a rule against having a certain number of non-EU players in your team?
Plastic Head Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Aristotle must be on the bench..... Well he is a bugger for the bottle
McClarky Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I keep thinking about that awful night against the Turkish team a couple of years ago. We could and should have beaten them about 5-0 but couldn't get it in. I just hope we throw everything at them and get an early goal to take the pressure off a bit. Come on you Blues!!!
philipl Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Isn't there a rule against having a certain number of non-EU players in your team? They've been up Mount Olympus so long they've all qualified for the passport.
EwoodGlory Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Unchanged from Sunderland I thought Sav and Peds would of definately been back
sijoco Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Just setting off now, got a good feeling in my bones. COME ON ROVERS !!! Keep the faith. Good crowd, top atmosphere, result !!! Sing your hearts out.
Cocker Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Unchanged from Sunderland I thought Sav and Peds would of definately been back What he said. To be fair though, why change a wining team.
Derbyshire Blue Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 At least I can listen to the 5live commentary in my bedsit in Germany…..thank you, thank you BBC and come on one and all at Ewood raise the roof.. COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!!
philipl Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Team just as Nicko suggested it would be. Glad Sparky has done this- it will give Larissa something different to handle after they brushed us aside contemptuously two weeks ago. Subs are Benni, Rigters, Kane, MGP, Sav, Zura, Brown and rover6. Just to add to the sense of what might have been if/when we fail, four "seeded" clubs are out/going out already so we would probably be up to pot B in the draw if we make it. As it is, we are amongst the falling.....
USRoverME Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I'm now wondering when Benni will be brought on..... for some reason I see him factoring in this game, but since he starts on the bench, I'm expecting a lot of nerves from this match....
B.R.F.C Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Wish I was going to this one but it proved just too costly and im a disappointed I'm not sat in the Blackburn End but heres hoping for a cracking result. Cmon You Rovers!
