Tim Southampton Rover Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Hopefully the crowd can get right behind them now and that will give us a kick up the butt to get into 'em!
Blueboy Downunder Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 oh well!!!!!!!! we are well and truely ###### now. byebye uefa cup for this season.
Eddie Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Hughes had messed this one up with the formation. Not impressed.
sany Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Hughes had messed this one up with the formation. Not impressed. I couldn't agree more...
bluebruce Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Hughes had messed this one up with the formation. Not impressed. Isn't he playing the same formation that has taken us to victories over Sunderland and Birmingham? Looks like whoever is writing the min-by mins was as stunned as I am, it's only just come up there.
John Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 The formation is not the reason we conceded a goal. You obviously has been waiting for any opportunity to slate the formation.
philipl Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Yes he is. Formation is irrelevant if we make stupid defensive mistakes.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Isn't he playing the same formation that has taken us to victories over Sunderland and Birmingham? Whatever we played...we should now be playing 1-1-9 and batter their goal for the next 1hr 10mins!
modes98 Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I can't help but feel Hughes has made an error in judgement on this one. Playing MGP, Sav & Benni may have just given us more freshness and desire in the early stages. Still 75mins to go, who knows? A few red cards from them and we could get back in it.
USRoverME Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 from the 5live comments it sounds as if the outside defenders are pushed more up the field than vs. sunderland and big club.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 BBC 5live analyst Kevin Gallacher reckons Blackburn are playing a 2-6-1-1 formation against Larissa. Probably why we conceded the goal!
Eddie Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Isn't he playing the same formation that has taken us to victories over Sunderland and Birmingham? Looks like whoever is writing the min-by mins was as stunned as I am, it's only just come up there. Yes he is, but we played Birmingham reserves and then scraped past Sunderland. The formation is not the reason we conceded a goal. You obviously has been waiting for any opportunity to slate the formation. Not at all, I was critical of it last Saturday and I'm critical of it today. Yes he is. Formation is irrelevant if we make stupid defensive mistakes. No it isn't. The right formation allows you to dominate a game and apply pressure, I don't think this formation is really allowing to do that, nor is it allowing us to maintain any pressure we do get or keep the ball and create things.
John Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Optimistic hat - would take 1-1 at half time, then re-assess at the break, with options to come off the bench.
