bluebruce Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 We were foolish to risk Bentley in these circumstances, I hope The Axe is only is only slightly blunted, we really need him for the next two months. He doesn't sound only slightly blunted. He sounds like he might be out for those two months! We will see. Anyway, I have a question. Treacy is a midfielder, right? So why bring on a forward and (ostensibly) a fullback for two injured midfielders when we're one up? (Technically two questions there) No point naming the lad if he won't even get a chance with two mids injured.

Hughes has gone for the experienced player rather than throwing a youngster into the fire. He obviously values the competition.

Experienced in utterly different positions, yes they are. If he values it that much why name a youngster in the first place? It's not as if we're liable to race into a 3-0 lead where there's no risk at all of him mucking it up.

bluebruce Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Treacy might be forced on if Dunny has to go off... This is getting ridiculous. If they get one back and it goes to extra time we could be buggered. Might end the game with 9 or 10 men at this rate!
Alex Rover Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Experienced in utterly different positions, yes they are. Sorry but have you turned into Yoda?

Exiled_Rover Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Could someone at Sky Sports please punch John Salako in the face. He's orgasming over Portsmouth. Unwatchable tv.
Hypo-Luxa Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 haha Samba with another great shot! Too bad James was up to the challenge. Samba's really got the scoring touch...
yankrover Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Can someone who's watching tell me what happened to Mokoena? How did he get hurt?
brfcshabba Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Could someone at Sky Sports please punch John Salako in the face. He's orgasming over Portsmouth. Unwatchable tv. I was thinking along the same lines. He mentions two or three rovers chances and then says it's all Portsmouth

G Somerset Rover Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Comon! Chelsea possibly going out as well could mean that we have a good chance if we get a favourable draw in the next round.
Pinch Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Bet we get Arsenal in the next round Nope, they've already got us booked to face Chelsea, no doubt...so maybe we'll get Leicester?
