Tim Southampton Rover Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 In another title winning year (our 22nd), we really have to worry about how much the gap is closing... and 125 years into the future according to the date in the bottom corner (Year 2133) Surely that makes you nearly as old as Bobby Robson.
awhom111 Posted June 12, 2008 Author Posted June 12, 2008 and 125 years into the future according to the date in the bottom corner (Year 2133) Surely that makes you nearly as old as Bobby Robson. While I should be 165, the game wraps the age around incorrectly and I am perpetually 14 years old now. Of course this was without the help of the data editor. Burnley hardly need my help to find the bottom in the course of 125 years. Some other interesting tidbits: Chelsea got relegated pretty early on and became a regular Championship side, only to fall further at the turn of the last century, hanging around League 2 for a couple seasons. Everton was the fastest starting Premier League team to fall to League 1, and have stayed in and around that level ever since. After staying in a decent place for a while, Wigan and then Sunderland fell all the way to the Blue Square North, although they are now battling it out in the conference. West Ham play in the 100,000 seat West Ham Stadium and had a longstanding rivalry with Sheffield United in the middle of the 21st century.
Mc Love Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Awhom111....did you use the editor, to adjust your age? I would have thought you would have started as a new manager to keep that game going...have you no life
Tim Southampton Rover Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Whats Blackburn up to these days on your game? Take a screenshot of the Premier League as well. Would be interesting to see who's there.
awhom111 Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 Top-Flight Titles by 2147: Liverpool: 29, Manchester United: 24, Blackburn: 22, West Ham: 22 Prem Championship
tchocky Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Where's Chelsea gone after all these years? Or is it just me being blind?
Tim Southampton Rover Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I'm loving the fact that Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd will be travelling to Grays. That is Grays Athletic and not a team full of Aliens. I suppose with that league being 100+ years in the future, I expect us to have made contact by then.
awhom111 Posted June 19, 2008 Author Posted June 19, 2008 Here is a link to a zipped version of the game. The size of the full file is about 635MB. Holiday Game
bluebruce Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 So have you managed the club at all? Is this all on the back of the foundations you laid, or did you start doing it auto from the start?
awhom111 Posted June 20, 2008 Author Posted June 20, 2008 So have you managed the club at all? Is this all on the back of the foundations you laid, or did you start doing it auto from the start? No, I never manage Blackburn. It tends to cause me to cheat.
brfcshabba Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 I suppose with that league being 100+ years in the future, I expect us to have made contact by then. That's true but Rovers will still be trying to decide on new manager
awhom111 Posted June 22, 2008 Author Posted June 22, 2008 Let me know how it works out if you decide to download and play this. Here is a good screenie (the Premier League with none of the Big Four):
grizfoot Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Here is a link to a zipped version of the game. The size of the full file is about 635MB. Holiday Game I've downloaded this and going to give it a try. Can't see it running very smoothily on my computer though.
grizfoot Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Tried that Holiday Game download but it got 3/4s the way to loading after about 5 minutes and then said it couldn't load. I came across the 1991/92 season database someone complied, it's meant for Serie A really but some of the English teams from that period have been updated too. Although there's still some 2007/08 players in and all the teams are in the divisions they were at 2007/08. Like Rovers have still got Derbyshire, Brown, ect. in their squad, but you could always relegate them to the reserves and not play them. Rovers screenshot: Also Leeds will start with a fifteen point deduction ala 07/08 in League One with a squad like this: Should be interesting.

Berg, Wegerle & Cantona the only foreigners in those two squads, oh how times have changed!
