Rovers Reserves beat Manchester United 1 - 0 this evening in front of a gate of 493 at Christie Park Morecambe.

Rovers took the lead in the first half, after the referee awarded the Rovers a penalty, when Jamie Clarke was brought down in the box, after he had wriggled his way through the United defence. And it was Clarke who blasted the penalty past the keeper into the right hand corner of the net.

United were themselves awarded a penalty in the second half, however Gunnar Neilsen saved the shot, to ensure Rovers collected all 3 points.
