Alan75 Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Big Club – The Sequel. Despite their convincing 3-0 win against Birmingham in the Carling Cup, Sunday’s Premiership game will be no walk in the park for the Rovers. With Steve Bruce admitting that he is unsure of his future after contract talks stalled, it would not be surprising that his master plan for Sunday afternoon will be to avoid defeat and to get every player behind the ball. In recent league games self styled Big Club have held Liverpool to a goal less draw and restricted Manchester United to a 1-0 win at St Andrews, Rovers will therefore need to lift themselves after Thursday night and hit the Big Club early to avoid the game turning into a dire goal less draw. Rovers will again be without Ryan Nelsen and midfield pairing, Tugay and Dunn will have late fitness tests before Mark Hughes names his team. Sunday’s referee is Mark Clattenburg who has issued 19 yellow cards in 6 games this season. Messageboard Match Preview - click here
