Paul Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 I haven't used Publisher before and am busy re-writing the company catalogue using the programme. One irritation I can't solve is this. We have two major products which are described as D6 and D12 - the number being the quantity per unit. The font I'm using is Constantia in 9, 10 or 14 point. When I use "D6" the text shows as typed and required i.e D6. However when I type D12 the end result is D12 - the example is exagerated here, the numbers 1 and 2 would be half the height of the D. It doesn't "bold" the D in the way I have shown to illustarte the point. Is this simply a characteristic of the font I chose, I can't find another font which behaves like this, or is there something I need to switch on / off? Using Publisher 2007.

The font takes the standard number as half size of a capital letter. Some numbers with extra bits (eg 3 or 5) go below the line, and some (eg 6 or 8) go above the line.
Beta Ray Bill Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 To illustrate ... ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ 1234567890
Paul Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 Yep, that's it. Looks daft in my catalogue so I may have to chose a new font. Thanks
Paul Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 That could be close to genius! Looks OK on the laptop screen but I'll have to wait till Monday to see how it prints.
