Today Christopher Samba has signed a new five-year contract and tonight when Rovers reserves struck 5 past Sunderland Reserves, midfielder Steven Reid returned after being out of the game injured for 14 months to play 55 minutes of football.

First half goals from Sergio Peter and Keith Treacy gave Rovers a 2-0 lead at the break, before Stephan Henchoz, Jamie Clark and Bruno Berner added to the score in the second half to make it 5-0 on the night.
