of my burnley mates, every single one of them is ecstatic that he's gone.

it's just a shame glen roeder has just got the norwich job, he could worked his magic at the turf again! (he was waddles' assistant)

but... dont worry, chaps.... whoever they get... theyre still going down.

look at the league table, the trap-door is creaking for them! :rover:

Fashionable to leave by mutual consent these days... IMO it means the board no longer back the manager and the manager is forced into a corner and resigns... it's called mutual consent apparently :rolleyes:

You need to insert "but agree to pay his contract up" between 'manager' and 'and the manager'

:rover: my account has been disabled for suggesting JOHN BOND for manager on clampits mad :brfcsmilie:

Likewise mine once for mentioning the 1-0 defeat to the Wombles. Bit touchy that Tony Scholes fella, likes to dish it out but is quite the baby when it comes to taking it. I am sorry to see Stevie C gone he has been good for them and was taking in the right direction, downwards. I am surprised they are only talking Jewell or Boothroyd, I would have thought Jose Mourinho would be a shoe in for a club of that size and he would not violate his No Prem agreement with Chelsea. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before his name comes up as one on the short list.

Some of the comments are DingleMad are quality :lol:

Apparently these people are on their shortlist:

- Jewell

- Boothroyd

- Worthington

- Tony Adams

- Shearer

- Coleman

- Souness

- Joe Royal

- Stuart Pearce

- Megson

- Sammy Lee

- Newell

- Simon Grayson

- Peter Reid

Half of those are either: relegation specialists, employed at a bigger club, or too big for Bumley. What planet are they on :D

I have heard a rumour that Jewell is a good friend of Mr Flood!

Just a thought!!!!!

I think Paul Jewell is a relistic target for us. With the financial backing we have, I think it is realistic to think that we can attract him if he is seeking this sort of challenge.

I agree with the people who say Shearer or Tony Adams. Other choices would be Alan Hansen, Paul Jewell

:lol: :lol:

These players? Wow, if they're signing that lot as players, they really are buggered! Mind you, Shearer even now would be better than anything they've got up front. I think they might struggle with the likes of Sammy Lee and Peter Reid in the first XI though!

Some of the comments re future Dingles managers on their mb's recently have to be seen to be believed. I mean Paul Jewell, Adrian Boothroyd ffs!

Mind you they are a huge club that can command gates upwards of 70,000 :rolleyes:

And thats just in the championship,just wait until thay get to the prem -will be at least 90,000(not including sheep) :P

What we guna sing now in the No Nah Never Chant. "Met Stevie Cotterill" is a bit out of date. Hopefully the new manger will fit into the equation well. Met Graeme Souness would be good fun. :brfcsmilie::rover:

Plus the fact that in the LT blog they were also touting the name of Jim Smith. I took the opportunity to remind them of the happy Christmas we all had when big Jim came out at half-time and conducted the Rovers fans singing on the Cricket Field end. :D

Don't know whether he's still on their wish list or not now!!

Also I just love the way they refer to us as "the B****RDS DOWN THE ROAD". Hilarious!! :lol:

I went to see my hometown team, Hull City play Burnley the other night...

They must have new he was leaving... It was like walking into a funeral held in a cattle shed!

The place is a right dump! nowhere to park... couldnt get student discount after they said on the phone they did student discount... paid the extra to sit on a wooden seat with a metal pole in my view!

Bumley fans didnt make a sound! Hull end made all the noise... best chants of the night;

to the tune of "Jose Mourinho";

"Just like a library! just like a library!

sit down and read a book! seat down and read a book!"

then when someone was thrown out, there was a rendition of;

"Thrown out your library! thrown out your library!" :lol:

...and I took pride in singing;

"Your just a small town in Blackburn! small town in Blackburn!" :lol: ...they didnt like that one bit, haha!
