Are we one of these clubs do you think, he is a midfielder and would be cheap.

Taylor

Think Nicko said it was Sunderland and another (maybe Bolton I cant remember). But I've said it before about Taylor-he's the Pompey version of Gamst so I very much doubt that we would come in for him.

I know we're saying about are current finacial situation is as healthy as a tramps diet, but unless there dirt cheap then im never usually for january signings unless there on loan, less risk in my opinion

(In Blue)

The BBC is reporting that Rovers are set to sign Ballymena's teenage defender Johnny Flynn over the next couple of days.....................................Manchester City were also chasing him ...............Flynn had been to Blackburn 2 times on trials..........Must have liked what they seen.............

The guy in the red looks remarkably like Craig Hignett, I thought we may be resigning him for a minute there.

Zurab and Bentley?

I know some would disagree, but the Nonda loan was a pretty good deal for us as well.

Of course, there are some who didn't turn out too well, but no need to get discouraged by that as there are examples of the opposite as well.

Gresko was good as well.

Until he signed a permanent deal then he was awful.

Although how much of that was down to his injury and then playing in a poor team with no protection from left mid?

Think that loan signings with a perminant deal, a fixed fee, and a first option pre-arranged is a great way of going about things. Under Hughes Zurab and Bentley are too excellent examples, as are the likes of Nonda -who was really useful on loan but saved us from having to commit to buying him to get the benefit from last season (Santa Cruz or Nonda - no contest.)

Justin Hoyte is apparently looking for a move away from Arsenal and Aston Villa are very interested. Would be an ideal signing for us.

The only thing I know about him is that his missus was on WAGS boutique! I hadnt heard of him until that programme!

yeah hoyte would be a good player for us to sign. Unfortunately though ARSEne Wanger will probably want a hefty fee for him.

Taylor

I saw Matty Taylor play a few times in his Luton days (Other half is a Lutonian) and was very impressed. It's hard to say now though with the fact he hardly plays but hasn't looked bad on the few occasions he has turned out for Pompey. I don't think Hughes would take the gamble and maybe it's teams like Derby, Wigan and Fulham who have shown interest.
