philipl Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 My instinctive reaction when I read about Dave Whelan commenting so positively about Sullivan's conduct was "tempting fate there". He didn't say anything about Gold though. Perhaps Lippi has rung Whelan and said that he turned down Brum because he's heard about the pies? Or maybe Peter Reid has sobered up from his mega session before he could face the humiliation of being interviewed for the dingles job and has put in a late application?
Anti Euro Smiths Fan Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 "This is not a stunt. We approached Marcello Lippi and he turned us down," says David Sullivan Coming up next - Jose Mourinho turns down Birmingham, with David Sullivan expressing surprise that Mourinho doesn't want to join the biggest club in the world.... Coming up the following week - Birmingham make an audacious approach for Arsene Wenger, with co-owner David Gold telling the media of his disappointment that Wenger wasn't interested in the Birmingham post. "We're a much bigger club than Arsenal so it's come as a big surprise to us that Wenger has turned us down," says Gold.
philipl Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Oh, and just to add to the farce, Steve Bruce has forgotten to hand in his resignation at Brum!
philipl Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Now that Brucelosis is repaying some of his image rights at Brum (for pictures of THAT face or recordings of THAT voice?!?), the focus of farce switches to BIG CLUB. One half of the porno boys reckons he is going to have McLeish signed sealed and delivered by next week. Oh Eck!
