modes98 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Santa? According to the official site. He has only just returned from Paraguay and so was not considered. Derbs is injured.
Mr. E Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 ok....that is a different line up from what I was expecting (hoping) for. I do hope though that Bentley isn't being played as a striker, because we need him in midfield. But then again Benni as a lone striker won't work too well either... If Roberts, Savage and Reid can make the bench, I think they should have been starting.
savage8 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 they're building us up alot here, nice to see recognition from honest, intelligent ex pros (always liked wilkins-my grandad's favourite ever player). hope we deliver and show the rest of the league what we're all about rsc not starting is a blow, rested for wednesday apparently after alot of travelling. think we have enough quality to see us through though.roberts is the kind of player that can hurt teams like fulham when he comes on! 0-1.
B.R.F.C Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 According to the official site. He has only just returned from Paraguay and so was not considered. Derbs is injured. Sparky mentioned in his pre match interview on Sky that he arrived on Friday and thought it would be wise to rest him for Wednesdays game against Aston Villa. Great to see Reido on the bench
tony gale's mic Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 oh no, benni injured. we do not need this. ffs.
revolutionrock! Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 oh no, benni injured. we do not need this. ffs. ######.Stretcher on, come on Benni! JASON ROBERTS F.F.S. ,Tanks on. This is going to be a tough one.
tony gale's mic Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 f**ks sakes i am sick of our luck lately. hitting the woodwork vs liverpool and man u, denied a pen vs liverpool and now this. roberts not fully fit, and why hasnt hughes stuck santa on the bench??!!!
Exiled_Rover Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I'd be happy with a draw under these circumstances.
Paul Mellelieu Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Rovers have hit the woodwork more than other team this season, in the Premier League.
tony gale's mic Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 if benni was still on he wouldve turned in that cross. and i'm sure rovers won the woodwork league another season recently too.
tony gale's mic Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 roberts and gamst both show nice touches of ineptitude. build up play is excellent though. just such bad luck about benni.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Pretty much dominated the game but only 1 shot on goal... Not good enough in the final 3rd.
American Rover12 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Rovers are like a movie with a bad ending right now. Lots of build up, good fluidity and just no climax or finish. Great chances towards the end of the half, but we need to have more authority in and around the 18. Gamst looking better in the latter stages of the half, and Bents needs to watch seeing as he's on a yellow. Warnock looking fantastic.
USABlue Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 stupid David Bentley booked for diving Hughes needs to stamp that side of Bentleys game out, I hate it. Well on top, no real threats until the last couple of minutes. Fulham being the worst second half side now has me worried, with our record of curing what is wrong with teams I am concerned. Think we will see Reid in the second half? 'tater said he was on the bench.
Rover Down Under Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Looking like it will finish 0-0 but I reckon we'll grab one in the last 10 mins. Roberts was SO slow with that chance, Benni or Santa would have buried it immediately. Hope we see a bit of Reidy in the 2nd half.
tony gale's mic Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 i can see fulham nicking one, they have more cutting edge in the final third. we have loads in the middle third but nothing up front, roberts is awful.
savage8 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 FRUSTRATING !!! Feel like we're really missing Dunny, Mokoena needs a kick up the arse... Benni would def have been on the end of Warnock's first cross though, no doubts.
tony gale's mic Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 benni has just got a cut, should be fine for villa.
Oakland Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 benni has just got a cut, should be fine for villa. that's nice to hear! thanks for info....
