Always frustrating to dictate the run of play and give up a cheap one. Rovers need at least a point from this game (and preferably all three) if they want to keep pace with their ambitions, so there's a lot of work to do.

Very close call. To me he looked very, very narrowly offside.

Anyhow, Villa have a completely undeserved lead. We've been by far the better team, just botching the final touches of otherwise superbly crafted moves.

What's this all about?

Per BBC: Absolutely tremendous half-time entertainment at Ewood Park. A pair of cheerleaders - one boy, one girl - perform a very, er, boisterous routine for the crowd - who remain brilliantly unmoved. A boy cheerleader... is that a first?

I thought Dowd had a shocker of a first half, but missed the offside decision getting a brew so can't really comment there. Keep playing the same way second half we'll get an equaliser, providing Brad doesn't attempt anymore less-than-Superman impressions.
