A young Rovers reserves team, made up with some academy players, beat Newcastle reserves 4-2, Wednesday night.

Rovers took the lead through Treacy within 5 minutes of the start and went further ahead with goals from, Marshall and O'Keefe to lead 3-0 at the break, before Clarke got Rovers fourth goal five minutes after the restart.

The Barcodes reduced the deficite late in the game with a penalty and an own goal.
