Football is a game of choices. Continually we make the wrong ones. Emerton is not good enough, Tugay is passed his best, Dunn is nowhere near what he used to be and Gamst defies belief - this is the same guy we had two years ago?

I've held off snap judgments during this bad run, but its impossible to ignore the frailties in this team. Too many mistakes, too many passengers. How the players have been allowed to become so complacent is the million dollar question.

They are much tighter today than Samba and Nelsen have been over the past 4 games in particular. Tackles are being won and Zurab is confident enough to bring the ball out.

Impressed with Zura so far and Brad's excellent save has kept us in it.

We have played better in second halves recently, so here's hoping that continues.

Who else is there though? We've had Reid play there and he's clearly better in the middle. We've had Khiza play there in the Carling Cup against Pompey and he looked dodgy there as well.

I actually think, since we've gone to 4-4-2 we've looked much, much worse. Nobody seems to know where they're playing and all of a sudden Chelsea's lacklustre midfield is running riot.
