Day 3. Mass Eviction.

On the evidence of last nights performance, against Sunderland, there was a case for a mass eviction as 22 players looked more like a pride of seals out of water waiting for a kull.

With an Artic wind blowing across Ewood Park, both keeper must have wished like the supporters for more goalmouth action in order to keep warm.. If my memory serves me right both keepers were only called into action, when the penalties were awarded, with Friedel once again coming up with the goods. Dwight Yorke took the easy option, to get out of the cold by getting two yellow cards, that ensured himself of an early bath.

There isn’t a great deal more to say about such a dire game, apart from the fact that Rovers picked up three points and that both Santa Cruz and Matt Derbyshire were injured and look like missing Saturday’s game against Coventry in the FA Cup.

THE DIARY ROOM.

Evictee favourite Robbie Savage once again didnt make the squad for last nights game.

Preston are looking to extend the services of loaned evictee Paul Gallagher, but with Medical Staff working on eviction nominee, Jason Roberts who injured his foot in training yesterday, Gallagher may be recalled as cover for Santa and Derbyshire who were injured last night.

Levski Sofia striker Valery Domovchiyski is reported to be coming in to the The Training Room for a five day trial
