deftangel Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Looks like Todd is playing a blinder for Derby 1545: GOAL Derby 0-3 Preston Another Andy Todd error on the edge of the box allows Karl Hawley to blast in a 25-yard right-footed effort which gives Price no chance and Derby can kiss their hopes of a fifth-round place goodbye.

Exiled_Rover Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 I love how a 25 yard screamer is Todd's fault.
furryfootball Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Derby 0 - Preston 3 Pride park is emptying faster than my wallet. Liverpool 2 Havant 2 Wow, Liverpool are being held 2 - 2 by Havant! Wonder what the final score will be?!
AggyBlue Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Wow, Liverpool are being held 2 - 2 by Havant! Wonder what the final score will be?! I would think Liverpool will get at least five
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 I would think Liverpool will get at least five Funny you said that AFTER the final whistle and not BEFORE...
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Anyone else seen the "magic balloons" at Bramell Lane ?
modes98 Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Anyone else seen the "magic balloons" at Bramell Lane ? It made me laugh! I don't think Joe Hart found it that amusing though. Only 6 premiership clubs left in now.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Bobbies are outside City dressing room, it got broken into and several thousand pounds worth of belongings were stolen while they were playing.
EwoodGlory Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Instead of leaving their cash lying about in the dressing room they should put it in a Bianchi
waggy Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 utd v arse liverpoo v barnsley reckon someone's been warming the balls again
bellamy11 Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 utd v arse liverpoo v barnsley reckon someone's been warming the balls again Why is that, Waggy? There is no logical link between those two matches.
Ricky Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Umm surely if someone was warming the balls Arsenal and United wouldnt be playing each other. I'm confused!!!
AlanK Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Sorry Waggy, I don`t get it either. What do you mean?
Rovermatt Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 There's Arsenal making an early exit. United for the cup.
Ronin Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 At least the way it's going, it'll be another Prem team out. Makes this year's comp a bit more interesting. Although it'll probably still be a "top 3 (& Liverpool)" club final.
Presty On Tour Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 tasty draw at ninian park, the soul crew don't like wolves at all and vice versa.
philipl Posted February 16, 2008 Author Posted February 16, 2008 Notwithstanding our horror show, this is turning into one of the best FA Cup competitions in years.
tony gale's mic Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Notwithstanding our horror show, this is turning into one of the best FA Cup competitions in years. its even more frustrating we got knocked out. couldve had a nice day out at wembley and a european place at least, even if we ended up losing to chelski or man united.
philipl Posted February 16, 2008 Author Posted February 16, 2008 Massive pressure games for Boro and Pompy tomorrow. At least one of them is not going to win.
Hannah Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Went to Coventry vs West Brom this afternoon as thought it had the potential to be a good game. It turned out to be a good game although my mate didn't enjoy it at all! I sat watching a shambolic Coventry side thinking this lot made us a laughing stock and I can't even begin to work out how -bearing in mind I was at Ewood for the game! They didn't bother man marking a single WBA player, they had one lad up front (Leon Best, I think) and kept humping the ball up to him and he couldn't hold it up despite trying really hard! Goalkeeper who couldnt kick for toffee (see goal two for classic example) WBA looked ok, but they were made to look ok by an awful Coventry side! I can't see how Coventry are going to score again this season, never mind win a game to get the points to stay up! They need a manager quick! and a manager with the magic touch who can get some distinctively average players, playing well together and look like they know what they are doing. It is always interesting going to a game without any tinted (blue and white or otherwise) spectacles on but the referee and linesmen today were decidly dodgy and making very random decisions. Coventry fans were shouting for lots of things - like the first goal being off side (I didn't think you could be offside from a throw in) but actually the ref got lots of things wrong and over the game they probably evened themselves out. I didn't see the sending off incident so I can't comment on that. There was a large police presence at the game and there was quite a bit of trouble. Well, I didn't see the trouble outside but I did see the people being loaded into the ambulances. One thing Coventry do do which I didnt think they were allowed to do is they replay all decisions on the large screen during the game - have the rules changed on that or do most clubs not show them again to stop it causing trouble?
cletus Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Great result for Barnsley & although i hate to give them credit, Man Utd absolutely destroyed Arsenal.
Bing Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Arsene Wenger would have been jumping up and down in a fit of rage had we been giving out anything like the treatment that Hoyte, Gallas and Flamini were giving to Nani. Absolutely disgraceful from Arsenal. They really are the biggest bunch of petulant sore losers in the country. No apology from Wenger either. Instead he basically blamed Nani saying that he deserved kicking up in the air for his showboating and mickey taking. What I saw was simply a talented young man who was enjoying his football and entertaining both a paying crowd and watching television audience.
philipl Posted February 17, 2008 Author Posted February 17, 2008 Hate to say this but RFW doesn't half learn. After Arsenal clearly had mastered the art of playing brilliant kids from reserve, Man U have taken over the mantle on 2008 showing to date. I agree Arsenal turned cynical and they were very lucky to end with as many as 10 on the pitch. Should have been a straight red to Gallas which the officials missed altogether but caused the fracas at the end and a couple of other Arsenal players were deserving of two yellows.
