Exiled_Rover Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 We're so ###### it's unbelievable. Nelsen's past it, the midfield isn't mobile enough, Pedersen's invisible. Atrocious.

1864roverite Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 The goal is a classic that would win any game and beat any keeper, a chance in a million but he took it. Brad has not had anything to do, the defence appear to be coping with Davies but we are not creating enough and are desperate for a midfield general. THAT IS CLEARLY THE BIGGEST MOST OBVIOUS THING WITH THIS ROVERS TEAM. How sad such a winker like Nolan pots such a world class goal.
tony gale's mic Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 maybe sparky has taken us as far as he can. after every abysmal performance we keep telling ourselves it's going to be the catalyst for a great performance in the next match, but its just not happening.
andrew92 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 nelsons getting on the wrong side of players and too close and giving away all the free kicks in our half!! but we have to give the first goal away don't we ffs!! and who ever said "its a dimpomatic way of saying hughes wants the newcastle job" wat a load of bol***s
Mr. E Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Nothing surprising, either in the result or our performance. But where my imagination fails me is just how much less enjoyable can this season get?
krislu Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Fantastic goal by Nolan which this poor show of a football match does not deserve. I feel its the same things over and over in every game. We start of rubbish, get behind and start chasing the game in the second half. I'm starting to think that Hughes moving to Newcastle might not be such a bad thing for either us or him...
Rover Down Under Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Pains me to say it but that was a cracking goal. We are not playing badly, certainly nothing like November & December, don't know why people are saying we are. In fact it is quite a relief to see us getting back to pre-November Rovers, not there yet but the signs are evident.
Mr Maureen Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Doesn't want to speculate ... concentrating on today blah blah blah Why can't he just say he's not going ? Because he's going maybe?
andrew92 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 jesus christ its not that bad, if we had scored and not them hughes wold be a god and wed be playing fantastically!! people saying its awful u watching or listening?
American Rover12 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Horsesh!t goal. That's all there is too it.
Bing Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 They should make a rule where throw-ins have to be taken from a still standing position. It'd cut out the ridiculous 30 seconds it takes for Campo to go over and take every sodding throw-in.
RevidgeBlue Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I thought we played some quite nice stuff in the first half in the conditions and generally dominated the play. Dunn in particular had a good first half but the criticism would be we displayed a distinct lack of quality with the final ball and haven't worried Jaaskelinan (sp?) I thought Bolton were extremely poor but Ooijer got caught badly out of position for their goal, drifting into the centre and allowing Nolan an unchallenged strike. Superb finish though.
tony gale's mic Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 jesus christ its not that bad, if we had scored and not them hughes wold be a god and wed be playing fantastically!! no we'd still be playing awfully. we havent even looked like scoring. bolton have been terrible too so it doesnt make us look quite so bad, but bentley aside we've completely lacked imagination.
1864roverite Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Horsesh!t goal. That's all there is too it. Your clearly as deluded as any Newcastle fan. It was simply sensational !
tchocky Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 JAMMY ###### GIT! What are the odds a player like Nolan scores a goal like that? If he made one attempt at a goal like that every minute of his life he would still only make it once. Damn it, it had to be today.
bubblerrovers Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 nelsons getting on the wrong side of players and too close and giving away all the free kicks in our half!! but we have to give the first goal away don't we ffs!! and who ever said "its a dimpomatic way of saying hughes wants the newcastle job" wat a load of bol***s How hard is it too say i don't want the job?? you can say nothing and speculation builds or go on sky sports and tell the world i don't want it, END OF. Managers spin media like politicians and that said i will go if offered the job, do you still there are WMD in Iraq?? Anyway remember we had a player who could scores goals like his name was Pederson, whatever happened to him.....
Wolves_Rover Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Fabulous goal that will probably be the winner ref's having a shocker.
USABlue Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Well taken goal but he had time to bring it down, make a buttie and then kick it in. Why would we leave Nolan open. We seem too easily beaten/confused by the cross from our left to our right toward the back post it is working every time. I think Dean is having a stinker, let's go a clattering on bents with no yellow then blows every time we challenge for something in the air. Notlob holding down on all our high balls to them. Not at all pretty, Mr Dunn is now looking no too pleased. MGP is looking a bit better but he needs to make one of theose passes tell, he's been close. Benni has to start taking a bit more time, sometimes he gets shut of the ball too quick. We need an early goal.
S15 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I thought we played some quite nice stuff in the first half in the conditions and generally dominated the play. Are you watching the Bolton game or the 94/95 season review again?
RoyRover Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 A poor first half. We probably shaded it, but never tested the goalkeeper. It was a great goal by Nolan, but we need a better performance in the 2nd half and most importantly a win.
rebelmswar Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Santa with two in the second half, dont worry ladies and gents.
Rovermatt Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 What a joke. We are dominating a truly horrific team led by a hack manager and missing their two best players, yet still we concede the first goal. We are so easy to play against it's not true - simply withstand the minimal offensive pressure and we'll eventually surrender the initiative to you. We're crying out for real quality in midfield, even a blind man can see that. This is the Premiership, you must spend to compete.
