the original david brent Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Cheers. How far is it away from villa`s ground? id guess 2 miles but the area between brum centre and villa park is dodgy. There's always loads of taxis waiting around broad st, costs a few quid to the ground
MarkBRFC Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Cheers. How far is it away from villa`s ground? Probably better off drinking in Brum city centre then getting on the local train from New Street to Witton, the gound is a 2 minute walk from there. Theres 2 pubs near Villa Park that we have been to in the past aswell, the Cap n Gown & The Yew Tree (i think thats what they called anyway)

I will consult with Simon on the drive up to boro this weekend and we'll sort some drinking plan out.
b12_simon Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 I'll be in The Anchor on Bradford St. It's quite near New St Station (the train's the best way to get to Villa Park - forget taxis as traffic grinds to a halt around the ground). Anyone wanting to join me should PM for directions.
modes98 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Sounds nice lol. How did i know you would pick a CAMRA pub. Scott you know that pint i owe you. It's be this stuff. Abbaye des Rocs (9.0%) A dark and spicy, prize-winning ale from the Belgian-French border.
